nutrigrain Posted September 13, 2022 Posted September 13, 2022 View File FredsAlias Lewd Factions I'm new to Stellaris modding (which is why I put this in the wrong place first, doh!), but I seem to have made something that works - hooray! This mod overwrites the existing vanilla factions, rather than adding new factions. As such, its likely not compatible with other mods that overwrite vanilla factions. I've tweaked some of the flavour text and descriptions. Its not a huge mod, but should hopefully support RPing, where factions didn't previously work well with, for example, Lustful Void. Let me know if you find mistakes and I'll try and fix them, but please don't expect magic results or instant replies, very much a noob! If you've additions, or an alternative theme you'd like, feel free to post. Submitter nutrigrain Submitted 09/13/2022 Category Stellaris Requires
masl Posted September 14, 2022 Posted September 14, 2022 You have an issue with your .mod file's path, it should be path="mod/FALFaction" 2

masl Posted February 23, 2023 Posted February 23, 2023 For whatever reason, this mod stopped working correctly. It doesn't change faction names anymore, instead they're just empty. I tested it on a new game with only this mod, so it's not some issue because of other mods. Anyone has this problem or knows how to fix it?
nutrigrain Posted February 24, 2023 Author Posted February 24, 2023 Cheers for the heads up - I've not played recently, hadn't realised that one of the recent updates had broken it. When I tested just now, the mod had no effect, vanilla factions were displaying instead. If I don't get time to fix it this weekend(or don't work out how to, urgh!), I'll get it sorted over the next few weeks.
masl Posted February 25, 2023 Posted February 25, 2023 (edited) I actually managed to fix it by copying the original file from game directory and copy pasting names from your version into it. Put it into FALFaction/common/random_names folder. 00_pop_faction_names.txt Edited February 25, 2023 by masl 1
nutrigrain Posted February 25, 2023 Author Posted February 25, 2023 Cheers! I've updated the mod now, and added a couple of little bits too.
