Lumpyhead Posted November 13, 2011 Posted November 13, 2011 After you're a member of the companions and earn their trust after the fetch quest, you'll get asked to go the the "underforge", which I believe is the beginning of the werewolf quest since they asked me to join their circle (i did not because I do not want to be a werewolf ) There is also a werewolf quest in Falkreath. I am not sure if you become a werewolf through it because the guy gave me a ring of transformation but I did not turn into one. I think safest bet is to go with the Companion route

It's not just one fetch quest. You have to do a few quests for the Companions. The Companions are a sort of fighter's guild and can be found in the big building up the stairs from that giant dead tree that there is a quest to revive. It is next to the Skyforge. After you do one or two smaller quests, you will go on a quest with one of the guys in the Companions. During this quest, you will see him voluntarily transform into a werewolf to save his own life. At that point, you know about the werewolves and it is briefly discussed. You can then continue to perform quests for any of the NPC Companions offering them, as there are a few of them who can give you quests. I believe, after you've completed so many, you are invited to meet Skjor in a secret cave underneath the Skyforge at night and they will offer you the chance to become a werewolf.

shrraga Posted November 13, 2011 Posted November 13, 2011 Make sure you don't do the "silver hand" quest before "proving honor", because (spoiler: Skjor dies) so you wont get to talk to him to finish proving honor. My workaround was "player.placeatme 0001A690 1" to place a clone, which I disabled after finishing the quest.
Kashked Posted November 13, 2011 Posted November 13, 2011 Does anyone know what the invitation to join the circle is based on? After joining I did the quest where i learned about the werewolfs, then I beat up a bard, and suddenly I am worthy to join the inner circle? Seems a little soon... Is it based on your level, and they let you do random quests until you hit the right level or something? 'cause it seemed like it was very easy to get in on the circle.
