Skinning Apparel To make Use Of XP32?

I hath re-emerged from my lurking to ask a rather simple question that most definitely has a long and complicated answer.

How would I go about adding functionality that will allow body/armour/clothing meshes to make use of the bones added by XP32?

The 3D modelling package I've got is 3DSMax. I'm used to the interface and have a basic understanding of what does what, as far as polygon modelling and UV texturing is concerned; I've not done anything to do with skeletons, rigs, bones, etc., before.

As an example, the body mod Muscular Women; What I want to do is add support for the various scaling bones (To allow for a wider range of bodies and various mods such as Hentai Pregnancy) such as the glutes and breasts, that are added by XP32. I've searched both here and the Nexus for a tutorial, but the closest I've come to is refitting vanilla armour to UNP. That doesn't cover what I want to do, though.

Any tips, pointers, guides and everything in between would be fabulous.

Thanks in advance.

You need to weight paint the body mesh using the extra bones.

Then you can modify the scale of those bones in your skeleton nif file, or change the scale ingame via scripting.

Ah, I see. I gave importing the XP32 skeleton a shot, but the skeleton was lacking a few bones; the most important being the NPC Belly bone. Any idea on what went wrong? I just opened the 3DSMax 2009 file with my 2012 version. Most of the bones import okay, but a few are missing.
