Male customers aren't showing up to my strip clubs anymore.

Hey everyone. I've been making gay male strip clubs in my game for quite a while now. Up until the most recent update I've been able to run them. Granted there have been many smaller issues that I encountered whilst running them, but now I'm having an even bigger problem. When I send my male strippers sims to the actual strip club, no male customers will show up at all. The strip club will stay COMPLETELY EMPTY the entire night. My other employees will show up, but no male customers will show up at all. I don't have a whole lot of mods (1.80GB) & the few I do have are updated. I've tried taking all of my mods out except for wicked whims. It still happens. I've tried taking out wicked perversions & running it. It still happens. I don't know what else could be causing this except for the mod itself being broken. What's even weirder is that the only way I can get any customers at all is by turning off the "male clients only" quirk in the business quirks menu. This will allow female customers to show up but still NO MALE CUSTOMERS. Again, I hate complaining but for some reason with every update that happens to wicked whims, the strip club feature works less & less. It's so disappointing because it's one of the very few features that I enjoy about wicked whims.

Hey! It sounds like potentially two issues.

 

First is that the newly introduced Sexual Orientation functionality for Sims made things complicated and I need to work on a better implementation for clients preference vs dancers gender choices. If your male dancers are in fact properly configured as gay, the strip club should be primarily looking for male gay clients, unless it somehow is being confused now.

Second, following the first, is to make sure you don't have the "Only Known Faces" quirk enabled. This will prevent new Sims from spawning, but it indicates that you don't have existing male gay Sims in the world or the feature needs correcting.

 

Either way, thanks for pointing it out, I'm looking into it.

Sorry for some reason I didn't get a notification that you replied. Thank you so much. I think it does have to do with the attraction system like you said cuz when I go into the Attraction Menu, select every male sim, and make them attracted to male sims THEN I will get customers. Before the quirks were added, I had to do this but after the quirks were initially added I didn't have to do that anymore. I would just select the "Male Clients Only" quirk & even male townies from newer packs that I had downloaded would show up as well. I didn't even have to change their attraction preferences at all I don't think. Thanks again for looking into it. I really love the strip club feature, so it means a lot that you're taking the time to make it better.
