skin mesh not following outfit mesh for 3BA outfit in bodyslide (SKSE)

okay so i need to preface this with how i got into this situation; i just got my pc working again from the blue screen of death but i had to format my hard drive to do it, ive been reinstalling my mods and 3ba was at the top of my list (i saved the bodyslide presets in a USB for a situation like this, i just copied the xml files into an extra folder, which may be part of the problem)

many of the slider presets come with the naked body mesh working just fine, but others has the siutation where the clothing changes, but the skin mesh wont follow along. this is the first time ive really had this problem and im wondering if theres anything i can do to force the skin to follow the body without making an entire new bodyslide preset- copying the old slider settings and simply naming it the same thing as its previous since im lazy. and even then i dont think that'll work because its outfit dependent and not necessarily slider preset dependent

(images for reference)

im still in the process of recovering all the mods i lost, so its entirely possibel im simply missing or have miss-ordered a mod, but any help on this subject is most welcome

Edit: figured it out, turns out my 3BA either didnt download or i completely forgot to download it altogether. this problem is gone.

This looks like a problem with the armor, not your preset. It appears to me the body is not reacting to the sliders at all and remaining in a default state.
You can try to fix that in Outfit Studio by loading the respective armors (File -> Load Project..) and then replacing the body with a working one, since the body is usually the reference all you need to do for that is "File -> Load Reference..." and select "From Template -> CBBE 3BA Body" (should be selected by default). You can optionally move some of the sliders on the bottom right to see if it worked. Then simply Ctrl+S and back to BodySlide to build it.

it was something of that nature, turns out it was simple human error on my part. i forgot to add 3BA and that caused the clothing to conform to the morph but not the body itself, funny that.
