Heyo fine folks at Loverslab! Apologies if this is the absolute wrong place to post this, I've just always been helped by the friendly people here.

My Alienware 17 R2 (https://laptopmedia.com/laptop-specs/alienware-17-r2-12/)(Dell, Win 10, updated graphics driver) has been having an issue with the fans bursting speed suddenly, current game freezing, then returning to normal gameplay/fanspeed right after. The laptop is not hot to the touch and I dont think its overheated.

I want to try a BIOS update, but I know my laptop will not successfully restart (as in turn off and back on sequentially) and I believe that would cause problems with the updating process. She will turn on fine if given time between turn offs and on though.

I guess I'm asking, what direction sould I look for a solution? I just want to play my games without this issue );

The fact that your hardware won't self-reset when commanded to restart leans heavily towards hardware failure.

If you're savvy with a screwdriver and not afraid to open your laptop, you can try removing the BIOS battery for a few minutes (with the regular battery also removed and the laptop unplugged).  This will force the BIOS/UEFI settings to reset to default and has a chance to resolve your hardware fault(s).  Success not guaranteed.

When did this start for you,  I am wondering since I have an Alienware 15 R2 that has recently started having similar issues though in my case it primarily occurs while watching streaming Netflix or even just having the app open.  Also in my case I have the SATA drive plus two M.2 drives but the drive temps are usually in the normal range when this occurs, along with that I can fully shutdown and restart without issues.  I haven't yet tried to update BIOS/UEFI.

Edit: Here is a link that is discussing this issue in the 15 R2 but might have some ideas that are applicable to the 17 R2.
