Cjvs Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 Let me start off by saying i have the game for 360 because my computer is complete and utter crap. Ok to start this tiny rant. The game is amazing. From the textures to the combat. [kill moves in particular] The character models are much better now also. I've been playing for nearly 7 hours now as a dark elf and i'm loving every moment of it. Dragons are great boss-like enemies. except for when they show up and kill someone important. The game plays really smoothly and the environments are fantastic. I could play for hours just by looking at the scenery. Ai's are better now by far. Guards aren't psychic. And hey guess what. You can get a job. I worked at a lumber mill for an hour and had fun doing it. Downsides are. Some enemies are to hard right off the bat. [bears sabertooth cats. and higher classed draugr. Guards are in this category also.] This is all in 7 hours and ive barely done anything. I'll play some more then ill do a quick review.

Mud Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 Damn trolls are way too powerful for something you encounter so soon. A frost troll chased me to High Hrothgar, followed me inside, and then got vaporized by the NPCs.

I loot all the shit that fell it the pit that is not mammoth and lose a few hit points on those spikes in the process. I'm about to go back in the cave when 3 guys in full heavy armor set showed up (yes I'm still in that hole with spikes) and tell me they're here to teach me a lesson... They indeed raped my face. I was a rogue lvl 8 with 2 daggers in light armor versus 3 guys in heavy armor and a bunch of pointy spike in my back.

The first time, they completely destroyed my heavy-armor sword-n-board guy. For the rematch, I abused the still-broken sneaking system to pick one of them off with a bow in clear sight of the other two, killed the second while the third was trapped on top of a hill, then took the last one down like a man (i.e. by running backwards). It was very different from my first Talon Mercs encounter in FO3, which was a bloodbath (their blood).

[found it while going to high hrolthgar, the guys were annoying so I killed them.] And i use my skyforge steel longsword and my blade of woe [used to be orcish sword] and sofar only things i cant fight are town guards trolls giants and bears.

Trolls attacks are slow, it's possible to kill them without taking damage.
ragindude Posted November 13, 2011 Posted November 13, 2011 Right now I'm more scared of trolls and bears than dragons. Hunting dragons at night, they sleep and if you get a backstab he lose 1/3 or 1/2 of his life...lol.

Yeah, that's how you can handle it, but when you fight one at a level where you can empty your entire magicka bar on a Flames channel and barely dent the thing, or barely scratch it with each sword strike, while a single blow from the bastage cleaves off 40% of your life, it doesn't really help all that much.

Word... A frost troll is so far the one and only enemy I have sneaked around so far. And I had a staff of paralysis, still couldn't finish the bugger. Was at lvl 10 I think. They are brutal. Guards aren't psychic Hell yeah! I had just finished wiping out some Taldor for a quest when I saw a Imperial courier running for the hills. Ran after him, getting bounty as I hit him, and then finished him off. Got a message, "Last witness killed, bounty removed" or something to that effect. Almost cartwheeled out of my chair. This is something that has been missing ever since Morrowind, silencing the witnesses...
