Need help on changing hair for Michelle follower. Any advice?

Hi there good folks. I'm in need of some helpful advice. I'm trying to make my follower Michelle look like this in the image below:

I know which mods were used and getting the skin texture in was the easy part. But the one thing I'm having trouble with is changing the hair to SG Hair "pg4385".

 

I tried these helpful steps outlined here <<http://www.loverslab.com/topic/7621-changing-npc-hair/?p=173578>>, yet the hair didn't change. Was there something obvious I missed? Are there other ways? Any advice would certainly be helpful as I really want to learn how.
