Some male NPCs are naked with no feet and hands

You can see the problem in the images. It's not ALL male NPCs, and the affected NPCs are not all from the same source. Some base NPCs are affected (Maul), some mod original ones are affected (the naked khajiit is a tax collector added by Sexlab Survival) and then some aren't, aside of all being male I can't find a pattern. I also attached the load order. Tried disable / enable and inventory reset, didn't work. I've been told that it's a body mesh issue, but... no idea how to fix that...

I apologize if this is too simple and you've already done it, but:

Most likely it is a mod conflict somewhere.  One of your mods is overwriting another mod that is causing the mesh issue.

What mod manager are you using?  The all indicate mod overwrites somehow.

I use MO2, for example.  In MO2 there's a column on the left side panel of mods marked "Conflicts" and each mod with an issue should have a yellow lightening bolt with a green + or red - .  Green "+" means it is winning a mod conflict, it is overwriting another mod on some particular things they are both trying to modify.  A red "-" means it is losing a conflict, some part of the mod is being overwritten by another mod lower in the mod load order.

In MO2, at least, you can click on it and it will give you a list of things going on with conflicts.  Maybe other mod managers do, too....I don't know.

What you'll want to see is any mod that looks like it may impact bodies, clothing, or anything related to characters, how they look, what they wear.  When you click on a mod with a conflict in MO2, at least, on the scroll bar you'll see small green or red marks showing you where in up/down the mods are in the list in.  Or you can scroll up and down and see them outlined in green/red.  This is especially helpful when sorting mods alphabetically instead of by load order, or when you have hundreds of mods.

Once you see the possible culprit, move one of the mods up or down the load order to change it.  The last mod will always win the conflict.  For example with load order, #2 will win over #1, #7 wins over both, and #44 out of 44 will win all potential conflicts.

Be careful and notice other potential conflicts, however.  If you are not careful you can fix one conflict/overwrite but create a new one.  You may fix your mesh issue with invisible hands but create conflict that crashes your game due to a skeleton issue you accidentally created.  This isn't usually a big deal, most mods don't have many conflicts, but it is a potential issue.  And it's more likely when you are dealing with bodies, meshes, textures, skeletons, and such.  Those things are pretty sensitive and can cause immediate crashes.  Mod download pages should tell you of the common, big conflicts and make note of it on their mod download page if you aren't sure.  Also, obviously asking questions here or on the mod page about potential conflicts is good if you aren't sure.

Sorry if this was too basic for you, you mentioned you didn't know what to do for the body mesh and thought this may help.  If your problem is more complicated, maybe someone can give you a better answer.

First of all, don't apologize for offerign advice, like c'mon, you took the time and effort to give me a detailed explanation when you didn't have to. :)

Okay, so I know how this works, I've been on the modding grind for years, have thousands of hours in Skjyrim. I don't know how mods function internally, I'm a big ol' dummy when it comes to understand code, but I get how conflicts show up in MO2 (which is what I use). The problem here is that I'm not sure what causes this. Body mesh issues was my guess, but, as far as I understand, every character of the same gender uses the same base mesh and model, the game only does slight alterations to it via the character maker. Like, If you make the the main character have a hourglass figure, every female character will have the same, the only way to avoid that is making custom race, custom bodytype character, which obviously doesn't apply to base game NPCs. Which is why not every male character beign affected by this issue confuses me. If it is a body issue, shouldn't htis bug show up on EVERY male character, not just every third or so?

I tried enabling and disabling SOS and everythign it affects, to no result. So... I'm kinda at a loss.

Thanks, though I wish I could have been of more help in the previous post with a working solution.

I don't think it is the bodies themselves, so not all males, but something related to a certain segment of them?  I feel like I've had this before, a long time ago, that was caused by a mod conflict and sorting the load order after checking file conflicts fixed...but I can't remember for sure.

I suspect it is more likely what some of them are wearing, maybe a set of things, and that's being overwritten?  Or maybe something is causing an issues with body slots that affect certain types of outfits?

I've had some basic coding training a long time ago and have done some some work creating some small mods for other games, but I'm not that technically proficient myself.  I may be using texture and mesh improperly...so I'm mainly saying "things" as I don't really know the core problem going on.

Hopefully this is a sort of bump in case someone who can give you a specific answer.  I'm blindly groping for ideas at this point.

Check the armor they are being equipped with, chances are they are being equipped with female only armor, look at either the re-placer you use or any armor that is distributed to npc randomly.  It is from what I remember an amour addon, armor slot assignment issue between male and female versions, basically the amour addon says use slot xx and yy for females, the female armor slots shows xx and yy, while the male one may only show xx or yy.

In retrospect I feel immensely dumb for not considering this on my own. following your advice I killed one of these NPCs and then checked their equipment... yup, it was all bikini armor stuff. After some trial and error, it turned out that the issue was TAWOBAE. That mod adds male and female bikini armors to the NPC gear list, replacing the equivalent normal armors. Thing is, when prompted, I declined the installation of male bikini armors, since I'm really, REALLY not into that. I figured the mod would just use the normal armor, but nope, apperently it used the female bikini armors, which don't work on male body meshes, and that is how we ended up with this fuckery. Disabled TAWOBAE and now everything's fine. So thanks for the advice, it set me on the right track!

What you could do if you want, is to use the current esp you have for the bikini armors, then go and in the armor section change the male meshes to vanilla armor meshes, though you would have to do it for all the bikini pieces, though do to the way vanilla armor is assigned, quite a few of those pieces will not actually show in game, only gloves, boots, helmet and torso, which can end up with males npc's having multiple pieces of armor on them.

I remember ages ago with le, and running lootification with a couple of my own merge armor packs, hitting the little bandit camp near helgan escape tunnel exit, and seeing all three male npcs being nothing but a head, hands with gloves and boots, everything else was just missing, you could see the terrain through where their bodies should have been, took me killing them and checking the armor to see that there were no male meshes assigned to it, only female, so I ended up going through the entire merge, adding male vanilla meshes to it, doing that on a couple of hundred items, tends to stick in your memory.

Considering that the only reason I ever wanted bikni armors for was the Sexlab Survival integration, this sounds like a massive pain in the ass to go through with. Sure, if female characters aside of mine would be running around in them, it would be nice, but like... this is the first time I'm using special edition. I have 2000 hours in Oldrim, finally made the change... and so far it only brougth me misery. Hunting what is compatible with what game version, figuring out which mod needs tesedit conversion, which would be broken by it, figuring out new conflicts that I never had before... yeah, I'm about 30 hours in and I've yet to actually play the game, so honestly, I'm just happy that nothing is outright broken and everything works, I'm not gonan meddle with it anymore. The last thing I need is breaking something new. :P

Well, turns out I was happy too early. Bikini Armors don't work at all, if I equip it myself, half the body disappears. Some animations don't happen (DD yokes don't use the yoke walking animation)... ehh, I give up. I'll uninstall this, and just reinstall Oldrim. I don't get how to make this work.

The missing body parts could be caused by you having devious devices or something like that already equipped, it could also be caused by you not building them in body slide, quite a few mods in se do not come with pre-built meshes for their armor, simply to keep size down, try rebuilding the bikini stuff in body slide and see if that helps, though if you are using devious devices and have them locked on chances are that is the problem/cause as devious uses a to of slots and of course bikini does as well.

Well, there weren't any DD devices on, this is for certain. Which leaves the bodyslide. I'm sure I ran bodyslide, but maybe I overlooked something. I just tend to open it, click batch build, pick the HDT option for everything, then click okay, because even after trying to looking into it, I still don't much get how it really works internally.
