Settler Genders

This may just be the crap RNG in FO4 but I was wondering if anyone has run into this.

For the last couple of games I seem to be generating female settlers (using the recruitment beacon) and very rarely male.

I ran through some brief (and unscientific) tests generating settlers (player.placeatme 20593 1) and sure enough about 80% were female. I've checked the two LCharWorkshopNPC lists in xEdit and there's nothing there that overwriting them mod wise. The only mod addition that was new is Keep Radiants in the Commonwealth UFO4P Version (https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/56089 )  and I can't see how that would affect anything as it merely keeps radiant missions in the Commonwealth.

Short of manually generating and assigning settlers (and disabling the females) does anyone know where I should look next (though as I said earlier it might just be the RNG)

Also use Keep radiants in commonwealth and never had a problem having both sexes show up.

Now as far as what to do when you get a steak of one or the other....

I had a run where a lot of ghouls showed up so I made a thunderdome in Starlight Drive....But I had so much fun and after I ran out of ghouls....

Install commonwealth captives, set spawn rate of Men to over 75%, go round, rescure settlers and recruit only men?

Thanks, I now have the song "It's raining men" stuck in my head.  And I'm not mad about it.  ?

Oh no, anything but that song :classic_tongue:

On balance, rather than adding mods I think the simplest way seems to be to spawn them in and then markfordelete the duds. Can't see that causing any issues game wise as they're in effect just added items.
