A very interesting mod for milk drinkers like me

Heyho,

I want to show a mod I've stumbled upon: Skyrim SafeSave System Overhaul 2

Especially the "I'm A True Hero" mode is very interesting. I bet you sometimes just get a consequence you don't like, especially when playing mods from here. Be it, that there's a tedious run across half the map in DD items, be it that you loose half an hour real game time because you got defeated and stuck into some restraining construction (I look at you, Naked Defeat ^^)

If you're like me, what do you do in that case? Well, sometimes I just lean back and watch those bandits have their way with my char, but sometimes I'd more like to dive into the next dungeon instead. And then I reload a save.

Now, the above mod doesn't let you do that: you only may load certain saves! Details are explained on its description page, but what it does is, it creates autosaves in a time interval, careless about where you are or what you do. If you die, it loads the last autosave. And when you save manually, the game will close shortly after, so you can't just save in front of that potentially dangerous cave anymore.

There's also a "semi-perma death" mode, where you're not allowed to load those autosaves anymore and only can use manual saves (which close your game when you create them). It has a safety net for those autosaves to still load, but that's only meant for moments of Skyrim being Skyrim CTDs and as such it's created in a tedious manner.

I activated the "True Hero" mode, as I use Naked Defeat as Death Alternative (so my char doesn't really die that often), and now I catch myself to think more before doing something, as it now always could result in bad consequences WITHOUT the possibility to just reload. And that had a way bigger impact for my play style than I thought. It just gives a new thrill and tickle as I more likely try to avoid those bad consequences. I can ignore them but then I really DO have to run across half the map. Or enjoy getting my char taken ^^
