Kodiak
Hey guys. I know in the past Texmod has worked fine with Madness Returns. I've seen the vids and found the mods. I use TexMod with my Borderlands 2 on occasion, so I'm no stranger to it. My question is... is there anything special I need to do with TexMod and Madness Returns while going through Steam? Learning form BL2, I did the whole renaming thing, but it still doesn't work. I load the packs up and it just hangs there after I hit run. Now the biggest difference between the installs of BL2 and Alice is that BL2 has a launcher app but Alice doesn't. The point being that with TexMod and BL2, you rename the launcher where there is no launcher to rename in Alice. So.. Any ideas? Game works fine without messing about with it, so its just the connection between TexMod, Steam and the game exe. Link to comment
Ghost
It works well with Texmod and Kingdoms of Amalur Reckoning throug Origin, but I don't know if it works with Steam as well, but you can test it easy: 1. Copy Texmod in your installation directory of your game (Borderlands 2 / Alice) 2. Rename the original Game.exe into Borderlands2Original.exe / AliceMadnessReturnsOriginal.exe (Sorry, don't know the name of these exes.... ) 3. Rename Texmod into Borderlands2.exe / AliceMadnessReturns.exe 4. Start Steam and through Steam the Game. 5. Then Steam starts Texmod, click on the Filesymbol under Target Application 6. In the new opened window you Rename both (Texmod and Game exe) into the original name. 7. Then put your mods in Texmod, and press run. I hope this will help, and I also hope, that you can read this Link to comment

Kodiak
I do appreciate the response, but indeed, I'm familiar with using TexMod with Steam as far as BL2 goes. That was the source of the question. That the renaming of the Alice exe isn't working as it normally would with the BL2 launcher exe. If anyone is using TexMod with the Steam version, let me know how which file you renamed to get it working. For now I'll just play it as is I suppose. Link to comment

Kodiak
Yes yes yes! Outstanding, thank you. It was the .par file that I was missing. As I said earlier, I'm accustomed to using TexMod with Borderlands 2 and the renaming thing, but I wasn't recognizing the .par file are being critical to the .exe. Great heads up, thanks much.
