No sprinting - fix?

Recommended Posts

For some reason, I cannot sprint. Considering that I am playing on survival and need to cover big distances on foot - it's a big issue. Maybe one of the mods messed it up. How can I troubleshoot? Maybe someone is aware of mods (especially LL mods) that could potentially disable sprinting?

Type DIEL into the console and show me what you get.

Here is the most important part. Everything else didn't fit into the screen. But the header, I assume, is the same for everyone, and there was an additional line after Layer 5, but it only says "NONE".

The game behaves as if you are still wearing high heels from Nuka Ride.

Write this:

resetinputenablelayer 5

Also

resetinputenablelayer 3

just in case

Thanks @JB., it worked. You are my savior. Those lines didn't disappear from the DIEL output, by the way. Layer3 simply changed to NONE (Layer5 remains NONE). I have no idea what it means. At first, when I saw your post, I thought that the problem could be caused by some items from NR that I was wearing (Golden Body Piercing, Facial Piercing, Nisha's Backpack), but even after I removed all 3 items, I still couldn't run. So, I am not sure what was the reason.

In any case, thanks again for your help. Just one more question: is it safe to wear some of the items from NR outside of the questline? Not the heals, obviously, but I like stat boost (and body piercing looks great too).

Of course you can use it wherever you like. The problem, according to the screenshot, is not due to the items, but to some heels from Nuka Ride. Apparently you had heels on, and at some point it was removed, probably by another mod, and the game behaved as if you still had your heels on.

It's an engine limitation. When you unequip something via script, the effect is still on you. If you unequip it using the pipboy, the effect fades correctly.

So, if you are the one who takes off and unequips the clothes or items you should not have any problems.

Ah, I see. It was probably Sexual Harassment + Devious Devices combo. It's a very likely scenario - some approacher decided to strip my character and put devious devices on, preventing heels from coming back.
