Inga Rasen Posted June 9, 2022 Posted June 9, 2022 I have over 1000 files in /data/scripts and data/scripts/source. Is this a bad idea? Mostly the ones that uses many is SLdefeat and AFT followers framework. Defeat is also disabled in mcm for now. Without those im at roughly 500 files. Atm im not experiencing script lag, but im also not that far in game and level 53 atm. I do notice npc's not opening doors immediately, but i think i have read that this is due to timescale and mine is set at 6.
yorpers Posted June 9, 2022 Posted June 9, 2022 Generally in my experience the number of scripts doesn't matter at all, its all about what they are doing. For reference my script folder is at about 7100 files and I don't have script lag, but if I install a single one of the bird mods like skybirds everything goes to shit. You can have thousands of scripts and hardly any will do anything other than fire off one time during a playthrough for a quest or something.
