Vuulgar Posted May 27, 2022 Posted May 27, 2022 Using Immersive College of Winterhold, every morning the instructors conduct "class" and part of that is Phinis and students casting conjuration summons. At some point the casting of these summons causes reaction in every NPC in the room. "What in the world!" or "This cant be happening!" are some of the NPC comments as they all react and stop lessons for a while. Last time Colette moved toward the summoned atronach only to become permanently stuck in about the spot where Ancano messes with the Eye. I am using Apocalypse, Odin and Triumvirate spell packs. This is such an odd thing I have no idea how to figure out the cause so any input would be very appreciated. I have posted this question in the ICoW forum and got nothing. I have played around quite a bit with load order and tried to go through xEdit even though I have no idea what I am looking for really. The lines are actually voiced yet I dont recall anyone saying them for any reason.
Gameplayer Posted May 27, 2022 Posted May 27, 2022 Never used ICW, At least not any time recently, however.... I have used Odin, I think the spells are expected to be default behavior with ICW, so its likely one of these spell mods has changed the spell and its behavior, The NPC's are summoning actual critters however the critters themselves may also be a point of change in behavior. So what is it... Likely the critters are setting off hostile behavior and this is why you get the "I'm under attack" type vocal lines or distressed vocal lines. I dont expect that ICW guy would fix it afterall it probably works fine with vanilla spells. Its likely in need of a patch with your spell overhauls and I think it is probably Odin that modifies the vanilla spells. Not sure exactly what to do, might patch it with TesEdit right but what besides finding the spells I dont know off the top of my head. Thing is that it is likely that others had this problem and perhaps somebody out there has in fact made patches for ICW when using spell overhauls so that would likely be a good place to start looking around for a fix.

Hmm I can at least try it without Odin and see if it still happens. Weirdly they dont act like they are under attack, more like shocked or startled. I have begun to wonder if its something Colette is starting, she is the one always stuck after a while. The spells that cause the reaction are anywhere from the generic wolf ghost familiar and all 3 atronachs and can be cast by anyone in the room. I have had this for quite a while and have searched all I can think of for info, its such a weird issue. Ah well, Colette still works as far as selling spells and such, thats why I have put up with it. Anyway thanks for the info and ideas.
Tlam99 Posted May 29, 2022 Posted May 29, 2022 Seems to be a faction issue. Did you install ICW after visiting CoW ?
