SapphireCloak Posted May 27, 2022 Posted May 27, 2022 I have encountered this annoying problem in literally every single one of my fucking saves. Eventually, fast travel ends up disabled. It doesn't matter if I'm in a Skyrim Bound-related quest or not. It doesn't matter if all of my settings related to fast travel IN EVERY MCM menu explicitly say DO NOT DISABLE IT UNLESS UNDER SPECIFIC CIRCUMSTANCES (e.g. restrained). Changing the setting to Quests Only under Cursed Loot's MCM doesn't work either. This is really fucking annoying. I've noticed that occasionally when I try to do something in the upper left hand corner I'll see a notification that says "the suction cups don't seem to fit" for no reason whatsoever. This makes me think that the game somehow thinks I do have some kind of restraint equipped even when I don't. I don't know what mod would be causing this. Another thing, it's dumb that the Cursed Loot options for fast travel doesn't include a "never disabled" option. Believe it or not some people hate having a forced fast travel experience. It's ridiculous especially when shit bugs out. Anyways, has anyone else encountered this problem? How did you fix it and what mod did you find to be the culprit. It doesn't matter how you fixed it or even if I don't have said mod... perhaps how you solved the problem will give a clue as to solving my own.
CaptainJ03 Posted May 27, 2022 Posted May 27, 2022 Did you in any way start the Chloe quest (cursed loot) - in that case Fast Travel is disabled from the moment you enter Helgen Keep (or even earlier if you have the LAL addon and read the note in the rucksack of the Noble lying dead near Helgen) Only thing you can do now, is go to an earlier save (if one exists) and test the availability of fast travel, to see if my assumption is right. You can either go through that annoying quest arch until you are out of bondage and free to fast travel again, or use "enablefasttravel 1" in the console every time before you open a map and want to travel - or start a new game and never, ever enter Helgen. That's what I do.

That's what I do. You are a godsend! Thanks for that console command! I have started the Chloe quest and intend to do it at some point. But it's such a derailment and while some of it is fun it's mostly tedious stuff so I've dismissed her for now and will pick it back up later. But at the moment that console command works just fine.
