kamoewarrior Posted May 22, 2022 Posted May 22, 2022 I have at least two plugins that adds custom loading screens, one is HCoS which also replaces the main menu logo with what I can only describe as a beastial fuck train, and one other mod which I can't pin point adds loading screens with a black skimpy bra and some text describing the mod. HCoS author seems to have no interest in adding a file to remove those unnecessary features despite the thread being riddled with complaints about it, both LE and SE. Their reply is always the same, its easy to remove the loading screens yourself and just use another main menu replacer. I'm not inclined to putting in any more effort to remove something I'm pretty sure wasn't mentioned in any way in the mod description. I've completely broken the game plenty of times before to make it a habit to take my time reading those descriptions. I dunno just one more plugin to completely remove everything ne the loading screens and the art on the main menu please I am so done. Modding this game is so much more stressful now my god
DJOTO Posted May 22, 2022 Posted May 22, 2022 To delete the main menu you have to go to: Data\meshes\interface\logo and delete or replace the one that says logo.nif. To delete the loading screen you have to go to: Data\meshes\loadscreenart and delete the ones that start with HCOS are a total of 11.

My loadscreenart only has HCOS files but there is another plugin that adds custom load screens to my game.

This usually show up when you're in game and exit to main menu. The loadingscreen pictures, are they animated? If not, there is a mod called 'jloadscreen generator' wich basically let you make any picture as loadingscreen. I have currently 130 diffrent loadingscreen pictures. All custom picked by myself. The mod can also make sure that all other loadscreen pictures are disabled so they won't show up. You can also add your own text or just completely remove it.

Is it this? I actually had a development its a miracle but I finally decided to pickup SSEEdit and remove the loadscreen entries from the esps that has them. I played for a while and didn't seem to have any adverse effects. I don't know if its a foolproof solution so I'd like to have the jloadscreen option in the future.

Note: You will also see some settings for gamma, brightness ect. Dont change them, because it will mess up the loadingscreen visual. You can also choose to combine with other loadingscreen mods or only use from jloadscreen. You can also easily replace or add more pictures mid game. Little tip, do not delete the folder (your custom pictures). If you want to change later on, you'll need to replace them and re run jloadscreen mod. Because it coverts the picture into dds and right resolution and scale. The way i did it is name all my pictures 01, 02, to 130 ect. So if i get bored, i download a new one and rename it the name (number) i want to replace. Then run the .pas file again. If you want to add more, you need to delete the esp and re run the mod.
