Custom race

Long story short I'm tryna to make a cat girl follower (khajit ears and tail with Brenton body) I have the tail set up to a custom Brenton body and I have a made a custom head with the ears(that I put together in CK that I want to use how do I put my custom head over the default one that it's currently equiped

If you have already made a custom race and all the assets for it, then you need to find one of vanilla heads in CK (FemaleHeadBreton, FemaleHeadNord etc.), change its Name and ID, at the right part of the window change Race to your Custom race, change paths to your Head model (nif and tri, if you do not have any of parts - just leave this field empty). Also for example, I always do nif and tri with facial animation, and do not make Race Morph and Chargen Morph, so I leave these fields empty.  After all the manipulation, you need to save and change the head in the record of your Custom Race itself. So your race will use this head by default. That’s the first option. The second option is to make this head an equipable "helmet". Choose any of the game helmets, change its ID and Name to whatever you want, and change its model. The third option is to make the ears an equipable item (like helmet), and the head leave the standard (Breton, Nord etc.)

I went with the helmet option as it seems the easiest and I watched a how to on custom armor but for the ears what biped objects should I attach them to or pick so that it loads in
