HDT SMP Breast clip through cloth.

So for the first time ever i finally got outfit physic to work,

Thought i was doing something wrong, missing a crucial file or something.

Turns out the files werent working properly since the AE update.

And now im encountering this issue:

The physic seems to work just fine, but the breasts still clip through it.

But everytime when i bring up a menu, or the console, which pauses the game, it seems to work:

i kinda got it fixed, theres a readme.txt file in the caress of venus (the mod that contains this outfit), it basically says:

FULL/Breast SMP users only: You need to manually copy and paste the following settings from your "3BBB-Amazing.xml" which is located at \Skyrim Special Edition\Data\SKSE\Plugins\hdtSkinnedMeshConfigs, to the "bra.xml" located at steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\Data\meshes\Coco_Cloths\CaressofVenus,

now only the nipples slightly clip thru the cloth, but all in all i guess thats just the best result we can get without tweaking something else.

If you're using 3BA, I fixed the clipping by using the physics spell in the 3BA mcm to change body from cbpc to smp.

I also had to unequip and re-equip the top since I had it equipped first.

A couple of things:

  1. Despite what you might think, SMP - just like CBPC - is a system based on spheres colliding with eachohter. You will never get pixel-perfect collisions, unless the spheres happen to line up perfectly. This means, the larger the gap in the spheres, the larger the object that can poke through. Nipples are practically impossible to cover.
  2. Faster HDT-SMP-57339-1-49-0-1667120061 (and potentially other versions/branches) has a bug where after loading a game (and potentially switching cells) collisions are not quite what they should be. Issuing the "smp reset" console command once fixes the issue temporarily. Sometimes you may also have to re-equip the item before/after the command.

Hi! Did you solve the problem? I just load the same outfit as on your scrin and get the same bug with outfit clipping through the bra... But instead of using CBBE I use BHUNP

Solution is to increase the margin on the collision shapes, and/or adjust/remove the thresholds.

Edit: Or could also be that the outfit uses a virtual collision body and its not conformed to your bodyslide slider settings, i.e. it was made for a different body type, or you forgot to build it. NifSkope will tell you the answer to this.

Issue described by OP is with previously working outfits, and actually, an ultimate solution may be to do in outfit studio what follows:

1) re-apply bones data ("copy bone weights") while having a reference body loaded(*) even if particular piece of armor does not occupy slot 32, thus should not have a reference body while used in-game,

2) re-comform all meshes (if there are more than one)

3) remove reference body from file/project (if it wasn't originally there / that armor piece does not use slot 32) before saving and then building for in-game use

Potential drawback: sometimes original armors are "custom painted" by modders and doing above will destroy specific effect authors wanted to achieve (whatever that was), especially if custom bones were used. But, it's last resort for me that never failed me in similar situations, and I can live with outcome.

________

*) sometimes, like with BHUNP, it works better to use "modders resource body" (have to be checked during installation) instead of that skinned one, because it is all-in-one base with all default bones (includes feet, hands and head). i.e. for long boots it saves a lot of hassle with copying weights for border regions - where main body ends and feet begin, etc.

In case this helps anyone else... I was having an issue previously with the bra clipping through the breasts and kinda being pushed to the side. I figured out the issue I was having was actually in bodyslide. Towards the bottom of the screen above "batch build" there's a checkbox that'll say something like "meshes\actors\character\character assets..." make sure you right click that and select 3BBB Amazing Body... then try building the body and sets again. Once in game take off the top, put it back on and it fixed the issue for me. Hope this helps!
