No Estrus for Men?

I've been looking around, and either I am blind or it doesn't exist, so I need help regardless...

 

I like tentacles. I also like men. I like tentacles on men. So estrus for skyrim should be right up my alley, right?

It probably would, if I could find any mod that works on men.

I've been fiddling around with so many mods, estrus chaurus+, estrus chaurus spiders, Deviously cursed loot, Estrus trapped eggs, etc...

And so far exactly NONE of them has activated on a male PC! I have tested the animations themselves using the estrus shout and they work just fine on both male and female targets of any race, NPC or not... So it must be something in the various "activation" mods I've tried so far that just completely prevents the trigger to work on male characters.

Is there a workaround? An unofficial addon? Any chance at all that an "Allow for male PC" option could be added to the MCM menus? A different mod entirely?

Any help or suggestions are welcome.

 

TLDR: Tentacles won't activate on male PC despite activation mod and animations are fully functional when tested on their own. What do?

+1 Wish I knew how mae/female tags worked with said mods but I'm sure I'd break something with edits.

check the setting or try "pronouns", this mod can change your PCs gender for mission mods,still dont know whether works for this mod,but its worth trying

Here's a version that works for males plus is lore friendly using the original Hermaeus Mora mod on LE from 2015, ported to Skyrim SE and verified to work with Skyrim VR.  I wrote the original mod authors to request permission to post to the Nexus, but after two weeks they've not responded and Nexus won't let me post without their permission.  So I'll throw it out here for any who want it unless/until the mod authors ask me to remove it.  It affects both males and females now.  It's also has a cheat version with no enemies and fast travel enabled to both the shrine (where the key is) and the throat of the world (where the cave is containing the Estrus Shout power).  Just install it over the original Estrus mod or lower in your MO2/Vortex profile.  It also fixed a lot of errors, to include the annoying Estrus reset window that pops up at the start of every game.

 

Note my limited skills were unable to edit the scripts (not sure why but they won't compile like my other scripts) or fix the clippings with Schlongs of Skyrim (also required for this to work), but otherwise it turned out okay I think.  Also changed the voices to be more androgynous screams that work with both men and women, though they are ambient and sound weird (just chalk it up to the summons from Oblivion making sound travel differently lol).  Beyond that there's a readme file.  Message me if you want more or report bugs.  I'll work on it as my time and meager skills allow.
