Mods and settings for a "repopulation challenge"

Hello! I don't know if this has been tried before but I want to try a "repopulation challenge" as in. delete every sim in the world and repopulate the world starting with just 2 sims. What mods and settings would help create such a challenge? If I remember correctly the game creates characters that don't live in the world but will populate it so I would need to prevent that. It's been awhile since I've played sims 4 and any help would be appreciated.

The Adam and Eve Challenge

I tried this in Sims 3, usually on a world like Belatrix or Moon Base Charlie II (alien worlds). The story was the intrepid space voyagers crashed landed on an alien world where all the aliens have disappeared: or I'd just make them aliens. Sometimes I'd use a terrestrial world with the founding family taking refuge in a fallout shelter when all the other sims die. Or I'd make aliens who crashed landed on post apocalyptic earth where there are humans, but all Zombies and it's a full moon every night, and set story progression so aliens can only woohoo aliens.

Almost got there with NRAAS mods like Register and Story Progression but human NPCs always snuck in. I tried replacing all the vendors and other required NPC like the repair man with plumbots and that was a fail cuz a bug prevents you from making a world in CAW that has plumbots. I think you need at least 16 sims (8 pairs of grandparents)  so that you'll have descendants who are not 1st cousins or closer - that is, share one set of grandparents.  I guess you can turn on incest in WW or MCCC in sims 4 tho just like you could with NRAAS Woohooer or Kinky World. I don't think there's a way to prevent sims from spawning in Sims 4 like you could in Sims 3, however.

The biggest problem I see in Sims 4 is that toddlers take up all your time, like fighting dust in the Dust Buster kit; Toddlers is your game if you have it.  It's over done, IMHO, and wrecks the game. In sims 3, the toddlers were far easier. IIRC the limit I could handle was 4 babies in Sims 3, just like Sims 4 tho'.

I did this before, its a lot of fun! NPCC is a tool that can help stop or at least greatly reduce the game from auto populating your worlds, so I recommend trying that out first. It also lets you manually assign vendor sims and such, which you have to do otherwise the game force generates a vendor, but I think there's a way to get around it? Not sure the exact steps... but basically without any vendor/job sims etc, you will be unable to buy from food stalls or bars if that's a problem to you (though once you repopulate a bit you can use NPCC to assign some of your own sims as vendors, bartenders, etc) hope this helps a bit! :)

Thanks for the replies! I downloaded NPCC and messed around with it a bit. I don't quite understand all the options but I think I was able to reduce the amount of characters the game generates? And when it does generate unwanted characters I learned you can use MCCC to mass delete unplayed sims, which will help in the beginning. I might need to be careful about that once I start filling in the other lots.

You are right, toddlers are a pain in this game. I'll probably just make them age in a day and give children a couple more days to make up for it lol
