Best Performance Enhancement Mod for Me?

If you look at the following specs, you'll clearly see that my game probably needs some mods to enhance performance on my computer.  I found this one: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/5123/? but it seems a bit extreme.  Is there something else along that vein but less drastic, or does my computer really need this one?

Haglo Boost GPU upgrade - Dynamically reduces resolution based on mouse speed. (I don't use this, but I've tested it and it's pretty cool)

 

Turn off AA and AF (or at least set AF to 4.)

 

Run at half your monitors resolution or less. (I run at 1280x720 with FXAA on to smooth out the lines and you can't tell a difference. It helps a ton.)

 

Turn V-Sync off, it slows you down.

 

Set texture resolution to low or medium.

 

Turn object render distance down. (I have mine set to about 5 for each setting, and I have Dynamavision installed to blur the distance so it's not noticeable. No performance loss. Also helps smooth out jagged lines.)

 

Make sure your shadows are set to low or medium.

 

There's a mod out there that reduces the resolution of snow and leaves flying through the air. I can't remember the name. I have it installed. Can't tell a difference.

 

FPS Boost is a small program on the nexus. Just read the description to figure out what it actually does.

 

Google ATTK and there's a Skyrim only version on there website for free. It supposedly enhances performance.

 

Download Skyrim Configurator and if you have a multi-core cpu you can set certain things to be threaded, which aren't set to be by default.

 

 

That's all I have off the top of my head. I use some of these and I get 60fps on my laptop. Just tweak and eventually you'll get there. And sometimes you just have to accept that you computer just can't handle it sometimes. Which is worse, playing a bad looking game or not playing at all?

 

Also, rather than Skyrim. If it's a hot day. I tend to play 5-10 dollar games off steam from 2003-2007. I can run those on ultra without getting superhot and they look perfectly fine to me. F.E.A.R and Half Life 2 graphics have held up great and they're super cheap.
