Video Capture /Recording

I am sure this has been discussed to death albeit my search turned up nothing... So my dear beautiful twisted friends on Loverslab...

1. How do I capture seamless animation on Sims 4. When I click record the end result seems meh... not as smooth as when it was in real time!

2. How do set up different angles or do you copy and paste your clips from different angles into a new editing tool? Which editing tool do you use?

3. Any other tips.

Please keep in mind I am almost 500 years old and I missed the boat on lots of technology that comes easy to some of you. So please speak in plain English and pretend I am the first primate on the planet!

Now go out and enjoy summer!! AFTER you answered my message!

For me and this is with regards Fallout 4, I use the video capture software that comes with my nvidia graphics card, Geforce Experience. The clips it captures are then edited in Hitfilm Express.

Job done.

Using the in-game capture tool may be the easiest way, but you're right, the quality isn't great and it's quite a hit on performance.

Personally, I use OBS Studio to capture the screen/game, and Shotcut for video editing. Both tools are free and open-source. First I film all the shots I need using OBS, then I load the clips into Shotcut, where I arrange and edit them.

Again great tip - I will also try this option and see which is the more user friendly version. Thank you both.

I normally use Fraps. I've been using it since my TS2 days and it always gives me great quality videos when I want to record in-game videos :) Definitely old school, haha, but it does it's job. I also recommend OBS Studio as someone had previously mentioned. It's a great program once you get a hang of everything it can do.
