Game lock ups

I just recently returned to playing Oblivion once I found out about xLovers. After many failed attempts/attempts with other AIO's or merged lovers mods I finally got a working AIO Rev91 v2.7. However the issue is this and it started with the merged 4.1. After a random period of time playing the game will freeze. At first I thought it was the dirty esp's that were causing it. This is not the case since as of this post -5mins I cleaned them with tes4edit. I have consistently been able to repeat this problem with reloading a save that came before these mods(I kinda like having the forsite to have backed up the game saves from long ago). I will admit I have not tried a new toon.

This load order took me sometime to edit to get the game to actually start without CTD before even getting to the initial opening.

 

Any insight to what maybe causing this will be greatly appreciated.

Well, unfortunately your load order is not at all correct. Boss will correct load order problems with most files with the exception of lovers. They must be sorted by hand per the txt file at the bottom of the 1st post of the FAQ: http://www.loverslab.com/showthread.php?tid=3

 

When you say you cleaned the files I hope you didn't break any scripts

edit: Perhaps you could help me once more the other issue I seem to have and I did post this in the AIO thread is that the LPK hud doesn't show up. I tried using the LPK ini that was linked in that thread and still nothing shows

I think I have that installed cause when i was running the Lovers PK Merged Experimental 4.1 version of things i had the lpk show up unless when i started trying to get the AIO to work it got removed which i think is odd. I will reinstall anyways though.

 

Edit: okay reinstalled plugin still no go and not exactly sure whats wrong atm with it but i am thankful for all the help given so far.

 

Edit2: Just noticed I am recieving none of the pk extended stuff so something must be glitching out on me.

These 2 need to be swapped, DLCShiveringIsles.esp should load before Unofficial Shivering Isles Patch.esp [Version 1.4.4].

Well in an attempt to try to get things to work I deactivated the OMOD and reactivated the OMOD with importing the given load order that i had exported which initially caused instant CTD till i adjusted it a bit then performed the modification that grizzly gave still no go on the pk extended abilities/hud.

This will make sure lovers with pk extender is activated.

 

To check:

Start lovers with pk spell => click on Progression settings => click on players progressions: automatic, if it is automatic change it to manual.

Tried everything the problem is that i dont even get the extender spells like "Choose pair of actors" which with uglykidcids pk merged shows up with the hud saying update needed with a pop up hud msg giving that statement that you need to activate jump keep to cycle to activate pk extended functions.

Worst case install LpkExtender overtop of your existing mod to see if that fixes it.

Well i now give up on this install of the game completely nuking and reinstalling. I wouldn't mind a group opinion on what mods to download and in what order they should be installed. Back during the last time i played as you saw i had ren's model mods and hairs I would like to think MBP covers alot of this. Im willing to nuke my old saves(dont worry they be backed up) and start over hate to do it but oh well thats what cheating is for.

First of all I don't find BOSS sorting too bad even for lovers... but still a few adjudtments have to be made.

Sorry some work needed you can't just copy and paste (if you don't get a userlist text).

 

To get BOSS going do youself a favor and read the doku to get a grip how it functions.

And best is to use BOSS in conjunction with Wrye Bash (or OBMM).

 

What you need to edit to change your load order for BOSS is the userlist.txt file which comes with BOSS (or create one if you don't have it).

In it you can add esp unkwnown to BOSS or override masterlist settings (get syntax for it from doku: ADD: or OVERRIDE: ).

An easy way to do this is the GUI Interface for BOSS which you can find at TesNexus.

Best would be to grab it and experinment until you get how it works - and read the doku all is in it!

 

Sorry, Lovers is no easy mod to install.

You of course can go the route to add in lovers plugins to BOSS but I have always viewed this as a complete waste of time as the BOSS master-list is constantly changing so you are going to have to constantly alter this (unless you never download/install a new mod).

 

Better to just use BOSS to sort your load order then hand move your lovers plugins as it only takes a few minutes no matter whether you use Wrye or OBMM.

 

As to hand ordering the lovers plugins if you decide to go that route see the bottom of post one the txt file for lovers load order:

Well after updating to AIO3.7 and starting a new game figured thats just easier I am back to locking up again. I have determined that during the time I am not ovulating I am fine but once that cycle starts and i get the fertilized ovum when i am guess here its about to cycle into actual pregnancy the game locks up.

 

Here is my load order once more boss kinda f'ed my original up but it is still fairly close to the original that i tried utilizing the recommended load order from the AIO download page this was an attempt to see if i could fix the issue myself still no luck.

Deimos, that load order just won't cut it. You need to match your up better to the example provide or things are never going to work.

 

Examples:

LoversIdleAnimsPriority.esp

Lovers3dorgasm.esp

LoversAnimObjectsPriority.esp

 

If the above three are not at the very bottom of your load order then lovers will not work worth a crap. The only plugin that should ever be below those three is Xeo's esp.

 

Duplicates:

LoversCreature.esp

LoversCreatureExtender.esp <---you must choose one or the other and not both of these.

 

My advice is to get tomago club working with only the basic lovers plugins (the resource pack and base pack) along with raperS and maybe joburg. When things are working fine then add more plugins slowing testing as you go. With as many lovers plugins as you have running it is almost impossible to trouble shoot which may be causing problems.

 

I am not at all intending to be hard on you so don't take any of this the wrong way, I want to see you get things working as fast as possible

Yeah like i originally said it was due to boss that my original load order got all jacked. All of the lovers came from the AIO well most of them at least only a few i have added myself and i was always under the impression that the creatures and creatures extnder went hand in hand cause back with 2.7 or whatever i had the load order you helped me with included it. It was my understanding that extender just added more to the whole creature stuff. Anyways yeah i will try your suggestion and start with the basics and slowly build up from there.

I did try disabling creature extender and that didnt help the lock up issue. i just find it wierd that with having way more mods from AIO2.7 it works fine but when i switch to AIO3.7 and with all the retweaking its back to locking up.

The very bottom of you load order should be this:

Lovers3dorgasm.esp <----this needs to be below LoversIdleAnimsPriority.esp as that is its master!

LoversAnimObjectsPriority.esp

 

Also I don't think you are supposed to be running LoversSTVictims.esp if you have LSTBravilUnderground.esp

 

Lastly I think you need to move all of these files ABOVE lovers files. Alot of these contain scripts that can interfere with lovers scripts. Remember that in cases of conflict with oblivion which ever esp loads last "wins".

As was stated you need to pick one of the other of these two:

LoversCreature.esp

LoversCreatureExtender.esp

Running both should not cause lock ups but it will result in weirdness that may cause any number of issues over time. Extender has all the same stuff as creatures with some extra summons.

 

Remember you are going to need start a new game to see any changes. It may be possible to use a clean save but sometimes this fails.

Okay well i disabled creatures from load up so that should fix that issue but i still have lock ups after first pregnancy/post pregnancy when it switches to menstruation phase after the pregnancy im thinking ill have to resort to disabling all non 3.7 mods minus the arrow, sneak, bow dmg, and custom race fix as those i know didnt cause issues before. Like i said just feels wierd that 2.7 was working but 3.7 isnt even if i ran my old load order which shouldnt have mattered to much. Must be alot of changes occured with the 3.7 AIO.

This is one of the reasons I am not the greatest fan of the AIO mods. Sure they are easy to install but troubleshooting is damn near impossible.

 

I guess I am just an ole school fart who installs things one at time and makes sure they work before installing the next. It is slow but it never fails.
