certain armor is invisible on player

got certain pieces of armor that you can see when equipping, after equipping though the sound effect for unequipping plays and I can no longer see the armor.
Though, when I open inventory it says it's still equipped. 
I used to be able to force the clothes on with AH Hotkeys but it stopped working recently as well

update/bump 
I got AH Hotkeys working again by downgrading
It seems that AH Hotkeys fixes it via glitching it
The glitch always wears off at some point
