After switching to 1.3 from 1.2 I had to remove almost half of the mods that I have been using (*they all were updated to 1.3), as I'm constantly having huge fps drops while large raid (30-40 persons) occurs. Back then, while playing on the same computer R5 3600, GTX 1060/6Gb (I had 16 RAM at that time) I could afford just adding any mod that I liked, and rarely managed them anyhow. Now I have 32 Gb, in addition to RuntimeGC I'm using Rocketman, checked spikes/ticks with DubsAnalyzer, optimized jobs assignment and schedule, and what is more important: I have far less amount of mods installed, but during such battles my fps drops to 4-8 fps, while it was at least 40-50 while in 1.2 with fewer RAM (16) and more mods. Is this a common issue? Does Ludeon is going to do something about that, as performance just dropped significantly? Rimworld somehow utilizes now 14-16 Gb of RAM. I'm sorry for my bad English. Thanks for any help/suggestions.
ghostfalll Posted April 4, 2022 Posted April 4, 2022 I have not had this issue (although, full disclosure, I haven't really played Rimworld for a while), but more than half the time some issue like this crops up, it ends up being due to some specific mod being poorly formatted/designed/implemented. I know it is a huge pain in the ass, but have you tried to recreate this issue with just vanilla RW using the editor? Or at least with a bare minimum of mods? In any case, you should prolly update your post with a modlist (please put in spoiler, since it prolly long), so someone can point out if X mod doesn't play nice with Y mod, or that Z mod is poorly implemented and its creator should feel bad for being a garbage coder...
