FNV often crashes

My FNV crashes really often and it annoys me really much. I hope that someone can give me some tips to make it run better.

I'm already using the 4gb_loader from silverlock.

I also installed the large texture packs from http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/43135/? .

Does anyone have and idea what I could do to run my game "better"?

Buy the game. "Flipping the switch" doesn't work with the original executable.

My english isn't the best and I don't understand what you mean with: "Flipping the switch"

I have got the orginal game if you mean that.

The little program you used flips an internal "switch", so the executable can access more memory. Doing this results in the game not being able to start, since steam doesn't recognize it anymore. I've just tried myself and I'm not able to start FNV.

 

The only way the program would start after doing that, would be using a non-original falloutnv.exe. If that is the case, I strongly recommend switching back to your original .exe and use the NVSE_4gb-loader available on the silverlock site instead.

Check out all the sticky'd threads in the tech support forums in the general Fallout and sexout section. The FAQ for instance holds a lot of information, that you can use to stabilize your game. There is also a troubleshooting thread with tips and links on how to use BOSS and FNVEdit.

This game is a real bitch when I played about an hour and did often change place I can be sure that the next time I will have a crash. So the best is, save often you never know when the next crash comes. If you don´t have a Ctd during a mods anim I see it as the normal crisis.

And btw you run a lot of mods when you have black textures it is a sign that your grafic card is at the end of Performance.
