jorgenjoggernaut Posted March 15, 2022 Posted March 15, 2022 Hi all, I need help with a few things. 1st - Im using Dawnguard Sentries and I want to make them have routines: patrol around cities, sleep during day time. 2nd - Add respawnable sentries that do the same (as guard npcs, that can be killed). 3rd - Im trying to add horns to vampire lord armors, lord and king armors, 2 different horns. I used nifskoper to copy and paste the horns to the armor model file, then replaced the ones in skyrim folder, but when transforming into Vampire Lord it crashes.... Any help is apreciated, pointers to where modding guides are also are appreciated.

A couple of bedrolls should work. 2 -- copy a town guard and equip them as Dawnguard. 3 -- Use outfit studio, might get a different result. Without seeing the nifs, hard to say more.

Thanks for replying. I hadnt consider outfit studio to begin with, is good to know we have other tools. Here are the nifs I moddified, literaly copy-pasted the horns into the vampire lord armor, but it crashes my skyrim .-. vampirelordkingarmor.nif vampirelordarmor.nif Pd: Forgot to ask but how does bed ownership works? Can I make beds used by guards be used by these npcs (dawnguard sentries/ new dawnguard sentries)?

Not necessary, just put an unowned bedroll in the cell where they're going to sleep and they'll use it. ---------- Regarding the nifs, however you copy-pasted the data it didn't come across correctly. Maybe you used "copy/paste" in nifskope instead of "copy branch/paste branch"? One other issue was that the body slot data was wrong. (Listed as 55, but copied onto 36) No promises, but I "maybe" "fixed" them. I'd try Outfit Studio since that tends to get the format right out of the box, but the parts are likely to be invisible. The thing I'm talking about is body slot masking. I have a blog on it in my sig, but that assumes a bit of working knowledge. May need to google some terms.
