Merchant's Not Selling Adept Spell Tomes

Hi, recently started playing again and used a mage character for the first time.

 

I've noticed over the past week I've been playing that neither the vanilla or the mod spells (Apocalypse) have their Adept and higher spell tomes being sold by NPC's.

 

I did some googling and know that you need to reach a certain skill before they start selling it (learn something everyday); and although my character is already Lv. 41 with 90 in destruction none of the NPC's are selling Adept or higher spell tomes.

 

I've tried, kill/attack then reload option as well as waiting 3 weeks game time but the NPC's still do not stock any of the adept tomes and up.

 

Currently using CK and TESV edit to find if there were any mod changing the stuff that handle the NPC vendor list, but can't seem to find any that would. Mind you I'm a novice when it comes to the CK and TESV edit, so all I'm doing is just opening lists/characters and whatnot and see how they interact and call for what.

 

Mods I currently have which I think could affect it are:

 

Apocalypse

Tendo's SkyRe

Economics of Skyrim

 

So far i can't seem to see anything that would affect why the tomes aren't appearing. I tried manually changing the requirements via CK to not bother checking for PCDestructionAdept in order for Faralda to sell Adept tomes and have yet to see if it works, although I was hoping I didn't have to change it this way (feels just like adding em via consoe :\ )

 

Is there a possibility that there's a corruption in my save file preventing the game from realizing I have the requirements for the tomes to appear in the vendors?

 

If so, how do i fix it?

 

Or, if it's possibly mod related, I'd appreciate tips on how better to track down the offending mod(s) since I don't wanna go disabling 200 mods one at a time, especially when my game(s) take about 10-12 tries to load :\

In general, it's a lot more helpful with "what mod could be causing this..." (and crashing, and freezing, and frankly anything else)-type questions if you include your load order of mods (NMM and any of the Wrye *ash mod managers can export this).  People can randomly fling suggested conflicts at you all day, but if you include your load order you might get a faster resolution.

 

Also, make sure to put them in spoiler tags ( [ spoiler ]   your load order here  [/ spoiler ] - without the spaces...)

This is done to A: keep with the game lore better that Skyrim is relatively superstiscious of magic and B: for the sake of my own sanity (repricing thousands of enchanted items by hand is not something I have any interest in doing). If you are shopping for spells and soul gems, your best bet is to visit your local court mage or take a carriage to Winterhold.

Thanks for the swift reply, forgot to mention that I've been checking winterhold regularly (Faralda in particular), I'm at the point where I'm using console commands to replenish the NPC chests to see if they'll ever stock up on Adept and up spells.

 

So far, nothing for both Vanilla or Apocalypse

 

The only 2 adept spells I have are vanilla and iirc came from dungeon delving.

I have probably one or two mods I customized to change NPC appearances, but nothing that handles script, AI,  or the items they are carrying especially the merchants.

 

Will check Economics of Skyrim again, and maybe if they have an update, although I don't recall them having one.

Looking through the Apocalypse - The Spell Package comments (actually did a search through the comments section using the "View Forum Thread", then doing a search for "missing"), I found 1 comment about missing spell tomes for adept and above.  It doesn't say specifically if it was for the mod's tomes only or all tomes.  The user had also used another mod (some batch file mod) that jumped his level (maxed things out) and now he cannot find the Adept+ tomes.  While the author wasn't very helpful to that user, he did suggest in the description that if spell books are missing, to visit his added vender and see he has them.  I'd start there and see, maybe disabling/deleting the mod to see if that clears it as well.

Krygar? yeap suffers the same problem. No adept and above tomes, vanilla spells or otherwise.

 

Technically I could just console up the books as gold really isn't an issue for my character at this point in the game, it just doesn't settle well with me that my something about my current set of mods, or my current game isn't "working right"

 

I guess I'm more concerned if this problem is  something script related, or worse savegame related that could give me problems later down the line, seeing as it affects not just the mod spells, but also vanilla ones.
