Devious Devices vs. SOS vs. Custom armours

I'm having trouble getting certain custom armour pieces to show up on characters, and my guess is either DD Device Hider or SOS is the culprit here.

 

 

Example: I install https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/17906 and the panties (slot 52) are unequipped when I equip the corset (slot 32). This makes sense because SOS also uses slot 52, but I've tried changing the used slot in TES5Edit to something like slot 54, which isn't used in that armour set, and it simply doesn't show up on the character.

 

Similarly, the set items in slots 53 and 46 show as equipped in inventory and console, but is invisible on the character.

I've tried messing around with the "Revealing" setting in SOS MCM, disabling the DD Device Hider, but nothing seems to help.

Can anyone point me in the right direction on this?

If the item is equipped but invisible, check DD's Devices Underneath in MCM, and set all to disabled in slot 32 settings - i had the same problem with some parts of TAWOBA being invisible.

Tried it already, I've disabled everything under Devices Underneath, including setting the Device Hider to something other than slot 41, or nothing at all, no change.
