BlueIgloo Posted March 4, 2022 Posted March 4, 2022 I'm using the latest public release WW 167f. For some reason my peeping sims no longer show up. Peeping sims worked fine for me until I upgraded to 167d and I believe that was the version that added the 'Create Window Peeping Premade NPC Sims' setting. I have always been using my own peeping sims by giving them the Peeping Enthusiast trait and it worked great. But now, I get no peeping Sims. I've tried enabling and disabling the 'Create Window Peeping Premade NPC Sims' setting. I've removed and re-added the "Peeping Enthusiast" trait to Sims. I always play for several sims days after making any changes but nothing seems to work. Previously, they would show up at least once every few days and sometimes several days/nights in a row. Anyone else have this problem or know what I might try to get the peeping sims to work again?
Husk Posted March 4, 2022 Posted March 4, 2022 I just tested it in my game, turned off premade Peeping Sims, gave Mortimer the trait and tested if it worked properly using the ww.spawn_peeping_sim command and Mortimer did appear at my Sims' doorstep ready to peep. Test the game with the command I gave you above, see if maybe you were just unlucky.
BlueIgloo Posted March 4, 2022 Author Posted March 4, 2022 Thank you for the help!!! I ran the command ww.spawn_peeping_sim and the spawn failed. So I checked the log file and found this - "Attempted and failed to spawn a Peeping Sim - Lot not available for peeping." Which made me realize something that I didn't know before. Apparently peepers don't spawn if you have toddlers and/or babies in the household. As a test, I moved the children out of the household and tried the spawn command again. It worked! It makes sense, but I guess I didn't realize that children in the household prevented window peepers from spawning. I'm not sure if there's a setting to control this or if it's set that way permanently by design. Thanks again for giving me the tip to figure this out.
