My first Mod (dw6ssx) & some question

Hi everyone!?

I'm a newbie in loverslab and DOA5 modder, and touched some doa5 modding tools about one month ago.

Today, I want to share you the first mod I have made, and I also have some question about it.

Actually, it took me 5 days to make this, so I was very excited about the fact that I can create it finally after a lot of efforts!

It's a XPS to DOA5 full import mod, ''Sun Shang Xiang'' from Dynasty Warriors 6.

And this is the final results (compatible with Kasumi) :

> All body parts are full import

> With facial expression

> Skirt & necklace have bones

There are two versions for body TMC file, the 'necklace' version means that the necklace have bones,
so you will see it swing in the game. I make this version just for fun.

Feel free to use & modify it!

Something just want to say:

When I was typing here, I still can not believe that I have fully transfer a XPS model(especially not DOA character) into a playable DOA5lr Mod.

Few days ago, I don't even know how to use blender, what is texture, weight, etc. So every moment I successfully step forward always get me excited.

I want to make this Mod just because I like this char(Huchi have also make this char, but sadly, he doesn't release it now even we subscribe him?) .

So anyway, I choose to make it by myself!

I think many tutorials post by modding masters have helped me a lot, but I still have a large amount of things to learn.

What I have done is:

1. convert .mesh file to XPS file by XNALara

2. import XPS file and a nude Kasumi body into blender

3. transform both of them to match the shape of their each body part

4. use data transfer modifier to transfer weight data from nude Kasumi body to XPS

5. export XPS to many tmcmesh files, insert them into a Kasumi TMC file that have all bones I need

6. edit other small things like textures, etc.

Sure, I have to say that the above processes are very complicated, especially part3~6. Although I have passed them, but I think some details and my skills can be better because this mod still have some little defects or bugs, and this part is that I want to ask. I will state below.

What I want to ask:

As you guys can see below, this mod still has a neck seam that I don't know how to repair it:

I have check them multiple times and I get the conclusion that this bugs are not some problems of textures or Mtcp.

The vertex on neck and face are also joined together, there is not any actual 'gap' between the connection part of head and body.

So I think this may be a problem of Normal or Mtrl.

Interesting, if we see them in the LR photo studio, and maximize the brightness, this mod is all perfect.

(Maybe because there is no light with specific directions, so this mod just display it's ambient)

But if we minimize the brightness, the neck seam show up.

(Maybe because there is light with specific directions, so the specular, normal will be calculated in this situation)

Anyway, I have tried method from this tutorial: https://www.tapatalk.com/groups/sfxt_mods/neck-seam-removal-tutorial-t1270.html

I tried to copy normals of those connection vertices from body to head, so I expected this problem would be solved successfully.

However, the head just be weirder after I doing that, and some surfaces are crashed.

Maybe, I think this is because I have not realize how to use some blender plugins :  Keep Vertex Normals1.1.0, and Transfer Vertex Data 1.1.0

So my process of transferring normals may have some mistakes.

Another possible reason is : If both of head and body mesh is not from DOA5lr, then their connection part most have a unremovable neck seam.

I don't know which one is the answer.

But if this problem could be solved, I want to try my best to do it, and updating the mods I share you guys above.?

Does anyone had similar problem before?
