Betris Posted February 25, 2022 Posted February 25, 2022 I just got modded skyrim to work the other day, everything was running fine, until I went to install sexlab and the various other basic mods like more nasty critters and such. I updated FNIS, but when I ran the game all characters are frozen in an A pose including the player. I went to update FNIS again and paid closer attention, and it says there's 1 warning but I'm new to all this and have no idea how to actually view the warning so I don't know exactly what's wrong. I tried hard to make sure I got the right versions of all the sexlab mods but it's kinda confusing with trying to navigate what needs the SE version, what needs the AE version, what oldrim mods are required but still work on SE, so I wouldn't be surprised if I made a mistake somewhere, it was all really overwhelming. I was using FNIS with other mods such as flower girls, and everything was working there too, I have the correct version of FNIS. However I did have a bit of a hassle trying to find creatureframework.esm since Vortex told me it was a missing master despite having downloaded it, so I looked around and downloaded various ones from forum threads of people having similar issues, but after I ran FNIS a few more times the missing master error went away and I disabled all the extra creature frameworks I got that weren't necessary and ran FNIS once more. Since everything was working prior to this, it must be some mod I got today, which I'll list bellow (if anyone can tell me how to find a log of my mod list or load order please let me know cause I don't want to spend a week manually figuring that out and writing it down) UIExtensions Sexlab framwork AE Sexlab matchmaker Sexlab tools v3.0 More nasty critters v12_6SE JContainers SE Hentaicreatures_MNCv12 Fuz ro d'oh SE FNIS creature pack SE 7.6 FNIS spells SE 7.6 Creature framework V2_0_3.7 Riding styles 2 Sexlab defeat baka edition SE Sexlab aroused redux SE BakaFactory edited version Animal SOS SE 0.1.4.2 Any mod I didn't put the version beside, I got whatever was the newest version for SE (save for matchmaker which after some research I found a post saying it works for SE so I got the basic version) I also couldn't find NiOverride but I read it's included in the newest RaceMenu which I already had so I left that out If you need any more info please let me know how to find exactly what you need. I'd put more in here but it's 5am and I'm very tired, I just wanted to get this posted before I head to sleep. Thanks!
Gukahn Posted February 25, 2022 Posted February 25, 2022 Everything you posted tells me you didn't use a propper guide to help you with all of that. Of course you will run into issues. Here are some things you need to know: First you are in the wrong section. SE has it's own Support Forum a few clicks away. Second: When your Skyrim SE Version is 1.6- something than you have AE. AE needs a couple of mods on newer versions then SE but not all of them. Never install a Mod for LE in SE or an AE only mod for that matter, cause that's probably your issue now. Third: read mod descriptions more carefully cause everything i write here was posted a dozen times already. Here is a guide for SE but you only need to switch the mod versions out and should be fine. (If you have AE but you should have. If you knew about downpatching you would be more experienced in that stuff.) That link here: Gives you more info on specific mods who need or have an AE Updated. Give Thank you for the advice, I'll take a look at the info you provided and try to get the right versions. I never got any LE mods, and I made sure if a mod said to get the AE version if I have game version 1.6.353 then I got it, otherwise I got the SE version of the mod (and I did do a search to make sure there wasn't an AE version before getting it) I also didn't know there were any specific guides, since I did try to look some up and didn't find anything helpful. I'm also using Vortex and that guide you sent said it isn't much help for that. I tried MO2 before and just couldn't learn it's interface so I switched back to Vortex. I apologize for not understanding allot of this, I really did try to read mod descriptions but due to some mental issues I have it's hard to take in allot of information for so many mods and to understand what exactly I need to do. I've never been on this forum before so I had no idea there was an SE support section, sorry about that too. It was all really overwhelming for me and I just needed someone to specifically point out what I was doing wrong. Logical thought processes don't work well with me so proper modding is difficult lol. It's a learning experience and I'll continue trying to do my best. Thanks again for the help!

Don't worry, you never have do apologize for trying and not understanding correctly when you do your best at it. The most important thing about modding bethesda games is time. Take it slowly, don't install too many things at once. If you have a working build without LL Mods, add just the bare minimum of Mods from here to your game and try if they work. I would say do 5 mods installs, then go in the game and see if they work. It takes people without any mental issues days to get everything done, nobody understands everything at once, you already noted that it's overwhelming, it was for me too and for many others. The Guide about Mo2 doesn't help you with vortex specificly yes,but it provides very important information about mods in general. There are also some video tutorials on youtube about vortex modding you might want to look up. Maybe they help you more then written guides. Don't worry, AE seems to work now with most mods out there, you will just have one or two wrong mods in your game that are not yet ready. First run FNIS again, when it gets you the warning, you simply click on consistence Check to your left. Then copy the Wall of text FNIS gives you and post it here in a spoiler. Maybe i or someone else spots the problem. (Or you get a big Aha moment while reading it.)
