You know the institute did crazy things, they not only send Konrad Kellog to steal Shaun and sabotage all cryo pods after that. So they replaced Shauns mom with a biotec synth and infected it with vampirism to see what will grow from it. The result was a daywalker vampire, that won't be harmed by sunlight, can run fast, jump far and high, with nightvision. As for a real vampire the institute creation feed and heal from blood. But there is enough of that in the commonwealth. For fast movement and reaction she like to wear hot and light gear, so some stupid raiders may underestimate her predator instincts.
