CyborgAlbatross Posted February 12, 2022 Posted February 12, 2022 Decided today to try modding Skyrim for the first time and decided to install the Sexlab mods. Have been going at it for several hours now and I finally felt like I got everything working. (All mods installed, SLAL actually working etc) But for some reason whenever I initiate any sort of action all the characters do is stand inside of eachother making noises. I use Nemesis and every single other guide talks about FNIS. Read on another place that Nemesis just works in the same way. Any help is appreciated
Dodzh Posted February 12, 2022 Posted February 12, 2022 first things about animations on skyrim: - there are limits to how many you can have - in order for some mods to work correctly might require specific animation pack installed last but most important, once animations are installed you most run FNIS, if after running FNIS you see there are no errors then try the game and see if working. also very important since is your first time modding skyrim: when modding a good practice is first run LOOT to make sure all your mods on the right order. and most important once you start a new save DO NOT go about changing load order or removing mods, this is the fastest way to ruin your save

I don't understand how I would run FNIS?
Dodzh Posted February 13, 2022 Posted February 13, 2022 FNIS https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/3038 is more a tool you use to make the animations you downloaded work in the game. every time a new animation is installed this needs to be run. as far as using Vortex, well vortex is just the mod manager, im sure there are some guides here or youtube on how to use it on vortex. i myself dont use vortex, i prefer MO2 https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/6194, imo is way better. but thats my personal preference. Note: this is the other tool i mentioned before LOOT, https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/1918 this has nothing to do with animations but rather fix the order how the mods are loaded in., this should be used once before starting a new save. do not run this after you already have a working save or you risk corrupting it.
