Chazman89 Posted February 11, 2022 Posted February 11, 2022 As the title says, I am running into a issue with a modded armor, https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/39699?tab=description. As per the attached, images, either chestpiece from the armor is overwriting all the lower body armor slots. I've used my minimal knowledge to try and fix this by de-schlongifying the armor via the SOS MCM and by rerunning bodyslide, however that is where my knowledge ends. Anyone with more knowledge of modding able to help me figure out what I need to do to fix this? Thanks!
nilead Posted February 11, 2022 Posted February 11, 2022 Â With ~99% probability, armor piece you equip has more than one partition. Everything you equip uses partition slots, slot 32 being standard body slot and overwriting you base body. Alot of mod authors (and, i believe, some vanilla armors) add extra slots to chestpieces to indicate that cuirass comes with sleeves/braceers/pants etc. Wich does not go well with more recent trend of everything beilg modular. When a chest piece uses the same slots - it either unequips such modular pieces or makes them invisible. There is no unified understanding on what pieces should take wich slot, unfrotunately. Â So reassigning those slots is a usefull skill. Â Now, i did not properly and conclusively test that effect, so the second part is apparent one: if additional partitions are only listed in armor addon section for cuirass - you get hide effect. If its also present in armor section and/or .nif file - you get unequip. Or some such combination, ive tried to get this effect on purpose to hide underwear, and failed to produce reliable mechanic out of it. Â Anyhow, TLDR solution: Open armor plugin in CK/SSEedit and remove any partition slots from armor and armor addon other than slot 32. That should suffice, but if author also inmprinted those into mesh - you'll have to change it there too. Bodyslide: outfit studio is a good tool for it, but if armor does not have one and you're not comfortable with creating one - nifscope is an alternative. If neither is familiar - outfit studio is more user friendly. Â Fiddly the first go around, but handy afterwards. Edit: Oh, there is another option that is rather likely - DD framework has a hidden device options. It doesnt actually check if equpped item is actually a DD, so anything in corresponding slot will be hidden. If you have it installed - try disabling that. There is probably a bunch of other mods that can do it, hard to guess. Edit2: Got me back to testing hide effect:Â if armor record contains the extra slot, while armor addon and .nif do not - you get hidden equipped item.
Grimmdal Posted February 11, 2022 Posted February 11, 2022 Thats SOS, SchlongOfSkyrim, causing the "problem". the schlong itself it basically an armor part and the mod does something with all parts. Anyway, the mod offers a , at least temporaly, solution to this in its MCM menu, first chapter, right side should be "fix XY" option. Â If i remember correctly, equip both, use the option, requip items. Its abit tricky and you have to repeat it to figure out which part you need to requip etc. Â Anyway, if you unequip the armor or load into game you have to repeat this anytime. It bugged me too , but SoS is mandatory mod so you have to deal with it.

Had to go into DD and set it to not always show chastity belts regardless of what im wearing in slot 32, and boom. Thanks!!
blacklotus0222 Posted February 11, 2022 Posted February 11, 2022 With SOS, it sometimes also has to do with the revealing armor toggle in the MCM.
