AAF Sim Settlements 2 and Sim Settlements Chapter 2 Furniture Data

****I finally had a chance to check out Chapter 3.   There are no new furniture assets in Chapter 3 to apply AAF too, so no update is needed.****

 

 

I decided to make the downloads separate as everybody will not be using all animations, so just pick and choose which one you want for the animations you have.

Installation:

Installation is very simple.  Use whatever MO you use.

Q:  Will there be some furniture clipping through animations?  
A:  So far I have not run across any, that does not mean there wont be any but I am only one person and thats a massive amount of furniture and animation markers for one person to check.

Q:  Will it work with <add addononpack here>?
A:  It will work with add on packs that have used the furniture from SS2 and Chapter 2 (in theory) in plot design.  I have not had a chance to fully test this theory but preliminary shows it will at this time.

Q:  Will there be support for add on packs?
A:  Partial answer is above, however, there are add on packs that have their own set of custom furniture markers and furniture, and separate XML's will have to be created for each add on pack where the mod author as created their own furniture and animation markers.  I will be adding those XML's as quick as I can. 

Q:  Will you make XML's for the other animation packs?
A:  Yes, I will publish them as soon as I test them after making them.  I will have to make separate XML's for each animation pack that has a furniture XML.

Q: Will you do this for the original Sim Settlements?
A:  No

Note:  Though animations are working, there may be some animations that dont quite fit for the furniture being used.  I am working on that as I come to them, or if anybody reports any animations that are just too much clipping or dont belong.

In all:  Fixed typing errors in Superstructures and Wasteland Venturers .xml to eliminate AAF errors locating the furniture for these.   If you already fixed it yourself before I had a chance to get these updates uploaded there will be no need to download this update.

I have the same issue, tried new game also, only thing what gets AAF unstuck from 15% is to disable AAF_Leito_SS2_1.4.7z

Yeah, exactly the same issue here, glad to know it's not some conflict in my config, to confirm I ran debug mode.

Running through debug mode says it's an issue with the file structure in the leito_furnituredata.xml file.

HMM Sorry just seeing this, the ones on the nexus have no issue I might have forgot to upload here the latest.  Let me check.

I had that same 15% problem, in one spot on the XML there was a period (.) I somehow put behind one of the furniture items.  Amazing one little period misplaced caused it not to load.

If you have 1.4 remove completely, then install 1.5.

By the way... I am working on adding more items from SS2 and Chapter 2 to all the animation packs, as well as adding support for another addon pack :) The next update is getting there, just been busy with work and personal things :)

 

I am also looking into MCG, for some reason the mod author adds their own furniture data and i have noticed if you get a MCG scenario 9 times out of 10  there is no furniture chosen even if you have it set at 100% chance for furniture.  There is very limited amount of furniture in the furniture data for MCG.  No time frame, but I am looking into it.

You might want to double check the "default source" filename in the .xlm's. Had a bunch of errors in AAF saying something was referencing a plugin that did not exist.  

 

Went to check the Leito, Savage and BP files and they had the names wrong for SuperStructures and Wasteland Venturers. So I changed them to the right name and the error messages went away.

 

Not really sure if it changes anything but no error messages is nice.

Its been a couple weeks since I have played, I will see if I am getting these error messages, last time I played I had no issues with furniture calls from any of the xml's.

The typos for the source esp's are:

 

(current name in mod -> correct esp name)

"SS2WastelandVentures" -> "SS2WastelandVenturers.esp"
"[SS2 Addon] SimSettlementsSuperStructures.esp" -> "[SS2 Addon] SimSettlements SuperStructures.esp"
 
easy change to make in the XML for anyone using the mod. No errors related to them after I did some manual updates to the xml source naming

this addon fix many vanilla furniture working good for me now.

 

i explore a bit of ur files, and i would like to do similar thing for the sleeping bag, which the mod is

and i'm using it's sleeping bag, guessing it's from vanilla too.

 

i'm carrying the the sleeping bag around with me for wild-on-the-spot-fun, but animations not working as good, as the selected sleeping bag become "ground at sleeping bag", and animation bottom got a bit clipped by the bag.

 

i wanna try diy this, is it just simple as identifying the furniture (sleeping bag) form and id, then create a xml file like AAF_SS2_Leito_furnitureData.xml with relevant changes?

You should be getting a lot of AAF errors if you are using without Sim Settlements 2 and Sim Settlements Chapter 2.  These XML's only use position data from those 2 mods to make building plots in SS2, SS2 Chapt 2 and addon mods that use their own position data recognizable by AAF.  There is no vanilla furniture in these XML's.  If it did fix some vanilla furniture issues then great, but I assure you it was quite by accident.

 

As far as using what I did as a example to create your own for a different mod, sure, go right ahead :)

 

And yes you will need to make a separate XML, do not use the one that is in Leito's animations.  Your new XML, if it is just a sleeping bag, then that's all you will need. You will need to make the category and place the sleeping bag info under the category you want to use for it. If there is more, you will need a separate category exactly like the one in Leito's.  You do not need all the furniture data from the original, but the categories need to be exact.  Do not remove the original from Leitos.  If you want the other animations packs to recognize your sleeping bag, you will need to make a separate XML for EACH animation pack.

I was hoping to have some more updates recently, however, with the creation kit being moved to Steam I am having an issue where the CK isn't seeing the mods I have installed through MO2 and I havent found a solution yet.  Right now I am unable to open up any add on pack to see if there are custom animation positions other than what SS2 and SS2 Chapter 2 have.

Holy smokes!  11K downloads, and 11k on the nexus as well, 22K downloads total there are a lot of SS2 perverts out there :P

I have had some people asking questions if these will work with the soon to be released Sims Settlements 2 Chapter 3.   They should still work for furniture calls with Chapter 3 for any furniture that was released with Chapter 1 and 2, if Kingath added a bunch of new furniture in Chapter 3 then yes I would have to create new XML's to support new furniture.  Will have to see what happens.
