Nemesis ERROR(6002) with bad allocation

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

Hi,

When I try to run Nemesis, I get the following error message:

ERROR(6002): An exception has occured while patching. Report to Nemesis' author immediately
File: 0_master.txt
Message: bad allocation
Failed to generate behavior

The "File: ..." part is not always the same: sometimes it's "0_master.txt", other times it's "1hm_behavior.txt", or "_1stperson/horsebehaviour.txt".

I'm already running Nemesis as an administrator, with Window 7 compatibility mode, but nothing worked.
I've found nothing on the internet specific to this "bad allocation" error, so I'm trying to see if anyone already had this issue and was able to fix it.

Hope you can help me!

Here is the full output of running Nemesis:

This f*ckin "6002 - bad allocation" error. Thought I'll go crazy.
After a few weeks of struggling, here's what worked for me : Try disabling any DAR animation mods u have, since they don't require nemesis or fnis to function.
Build your Fnis and/or Nemesis. Then u can reenable DAR stuff.
Im on 1.5.9.7, ~56k animations.
Please test it and reply if it helped or not.

Late reply but this didn't help for me, now Nemesis crashes on bad file allocation : none (error 6002) when I have my dar and oar mods disabled when running it

try this link that provide different solutions for the 6002 error :

PSA: For those of you getting Nemesis Unlimited Behavior Engine Error (6002) : r/skyrimmods (reddit.com)

Yup already tried everything there and posted in the Project New Reign discord but got no answer :/

Copy from my post there:

Hello everyone, first post here and I have a few questions.  Latest version of Nemesis is 0.84 beta, right?
I use this version and I was wondering if there is a hard limit to the number of animations it can process?
I have almost 28k animations at the moment that it can process (27994 to be exact) and I still have some mods I would like to add.

Unfortunately every time I try to add more than 28k  it never completes and throws out an 6002 bad allocation error, the file it specifies is always different, the percentage at which it crashes ranges from 2% to 87% depending on the animation mods I try to add.

My rig is an AMD 5900 with 12 cores, 64Gb of RAM and when Nemesis does it's thing it fires all cores to 100% lol.  I tried  limiting the number of cores as was suggested in reddit forums,  from 24 to  just one core but with the latter my pc freezes lol and I have to hard reset.

I tried running in Win 7 and Win 8 compatibility mode, admin rights or not,  I even tried in Win 10 safe mode,  I am running engine fixes with everything tweaked including the animations number fix and no dice, if I go above 28k animations Nemesis never completes.
That's why I was beginning to think there's a hard limit? right?

This happens only when I surpass 61k animations. Below that the engine work most of the time.

My guess is it depends on your rig. Mine is gtx 3070 with 14 cores, 32gb of ram. I'm able to achieve ~61k animations on nemesis but nothing more.

While searching on the internet what cause 6002, I don't found any solution that's work for me.

Basically I have 73740 animations run on nemesis, it can run without issue, but once I installed more than ~74k animation, it keep appear error (6002) in 96%.

Probably I leave this info for those in future as a reference case,

My Rig is RTX3070, CPU 8C16T, 64gb of ram. just FYI.

No wonder its having issues. It's indeed a 32 bit application. How odd.

I never checked! Indeed 32bit, a bit foolish thing.
