Any Mods For a (Sims) World Free of Kids?

Sorry if this topic is in the wrong place but I didn't know exactly where to go.

This might sound weird but please bare with me: I was wondering if there was a mod or anything that would spawn families (like parents and offspring) but without any child sims. Before the update, my game would spawn a family with a child sim very rarely. When they spawned, I could age them up as needed and that was it. The game wouldn't spawn another one and my sims world was child free!

But now my game seems like it HAS to have a child sim or two in it. For example, I would put the family into CAS or the world and age up the child sim like I normally do only to go back to the bin to find a new family with a brand new child sim. It's like the game is forcing me to have children in my game. I've tried messing with the MCCC settings but can't seem to find anything. I used to delete the child sim or even the whole family but that quickly became an obvious lost cause...

So, aside from the lot traits mod, is there anyway to stop them?

P.S.: I have nothing against kids personally, I just don't want them in my sims world!

Here's an old post. It might help point you in the right direction. If you figure it out, let us know. I'm interesting in know how this could work as well.

Hello! Thanks for the direction!

They suggested in that thread to tinker with the MCCC settings so that's what I did. I did all my tinkering in a new save and so far, I've gotten things back to how they were before (with the rare child spawn). Unfortunately, I don't know how to get rid of them completely.

What lowered their spawning amount though is setting the child spawn of MCCC to zero(0) and then unchecking the 'Fill Empty Houses' option on TS4 game menu. That's about as far as I've gotten. Thanks again for you help! If I ever figure it out, I'll update this!

I think you just set the child spawn rate in MCCC to 0%, default is 25%.  It will make your population age heavy tho. Well, maybe not, because it doesn't work like it did in Sims 3.

I think I could create a really quick mod that could check for any toddler or child age Sim and automatically age them up to teen. I know how to do it per zone. Like if there's a child born in zone A, but you are in zone b, then it would stay a child until both of you are in the same zone. When whenever a player loads a zone, it would check and toddlers/children up automatically.

I'll test my theory out and let you know. It should be a real quick and simple mod, like 1 python command or something.

Ok. It took me 30 minutes or so, but I have a simple mod that does:

  1.  When a player enters a 'zone'
    1. Check the entire world, for NPCs (note - excludes played sims)
      1. If age = baby, then age up
      2. If age = toddler, then age up
      3. If age = child, then age up

So when the game starts and you load into your first zone, it runs the script. When you change zones, it runs the script. This doesn't prevent pregnancies. If someone gives birth in the same zone you are currently in, then that birthed Sim is still a baby until you leave the zone. Once you come back to that zone, then they'll be a teen. I'll upload to downloads, so you'll find a new thread over in the downloads forum for this.

Oh my goodness, you're amazing! Thank you so so so much!

Update: I'm super sorry but I had a question. I added the mod to my /mod folder and I'm a little confused. This might be a dumb question but what counts as a zone? For example: if I load the game and play with a Willow Creek family, would visiting the lot with the child in Oasis Springs activate the age up? Thank you!
