beanbaked Posted January 6, 2022 Posted January 6, 2022 It's kind of a weirdly frustrating grey area, you can create obviously trans sims, that are well-done and designable, but then you end up with unfortunately bad cons to it. One being, if you chose to use a female base, you're stuck with the shadows under the breasts, even with the flat-chest mod and smoothing texture, it's still obvious that something isn't right there, and I can't find any way to, or mods that enable the male chest mesh for female base sims. If you use a male base, you get your own set of problems, chief being all of the suggestive looks, and attention coming from women exclusively, and the "orientation incompatibility" with basically all men, and the strict use of male pronouns for you. I'm kind of confused as to why there isn't an option for me to just tell the game and attractiveness system to recognize me as a female and use pronouns appropriate to that, or why there aren't more workable options to at least make flat chests that don't look off a bit easier. It just feels like there is no winning, so I just make cisgendered Sims since I can't really get a properly enjoyable trans experience. Are there any potential kind of submods, or things like some of the commands and cheats that can force-set certain settings in some way to workaround at least one of those minor kind of issues? I'm not sure if I'm missing something, but I've also looked for submods without much luck.
TURBODRIVER Posted January 6, 2022 Posted January 6, 2022 Thanks for mentioning the texture issue, it's technically an easy one to fix but a heavy one to handle and difficult to find. An override of the game textures would have to be made to adjust the body definition. The game is meant to have a way to select pronouns in the future so you will be able to adjust that. Suggestive Looks and whatnot happens because you have your Sim configured to prefer women (they magically know), just adjust Sim Attractiveness preferences. You can further unlock things by adjusting Sim Personalization Sexual Role and Gender Role by clicking on them in game. There's lots of things you can do to make it work just the way you want it.
beanbaked Posted February 15, 2022 Author Posted February 15, 2022 I know I'm more than a bit late, but I have the Sims in question configured to dislike women and to exclusively like men, I think it boils more down to the fact that the basal preset is male, and thus registers as a "sexual orientation incompatibility," which is the aforementioned tradeoff to picking a male base, the tradeoff for a female base being the chest issues and shadows that make the character look like more of a futa than a trans woman.
