Anatriax Posted December 29, 2021 Posted December 29, 2021 VSync used to lock my FPS to 60, bc 60hz refresh. It's not anymore. Instead when I enable Vsync I get no FPS cap, so FPS just goes nuts. If I try to limit FPS to 60 via ENB (or any other method) it drops to 16. Exactly 16. Every time. I can't figure it out.
donttouchmethere Posted December 29, 2021 Posted December 29, 2021 What are the "any other methods" you are talking about? What I would check first: If you use Nvidia, check it's control center for vsync settings and FPS. Best make a profile for Skyrim in there and don't use the global settings. Careful with Nvidia game optimizer (can't remember it's correct name), because it will try to optimize graphic settings.

I've tried through Skyrim.ini/skyrimprefs.ini (I know, not advised... but tried it just bc what the hell... maybe it'll work, ENBlocal.ini, through Nvidia Control panel AND Nvidia Inspector.
Anatriax Posted December 29, 2021 Author Posted December 29, 2021 Update: Semi-fixed. Enabled Vsync everywhere I could, simultaneously. FPS won't go over 60, but it still fluctuates like mad between 50-60 instead of 50-500. I can't for the life of me figure this out. FPS limiters DO NOT WORK as intended. They cap frames at 16, instead of 60.
