I wan tot try to find the best mods that work together and work for this current version cause idk how a way back machine would work for mods but what in your own opinion would work best I am new to modding and trying to figure out what I can do so send links that would be very helpful

It depends on what you want from your Skyrim. There are a lot of mods but this does not mean that they fit well together and, if they are really useful.

Second: you're probably in the wrong forum section, this one is for the old Skyrim LE, you probably want the newer Skyrim SE/AE. If you do have the old LE, then all I wrote below doesn't matter for you ?

From there on, it's purely up to you, what "the best mods" are ^^

 

If you are new to modding, I'd suggest you start with adding some simple mods, like bug fixes and texture replacers. From there on, work your way up to the more complex ones.

That way, you learn what's important when it comes to installing mods, like reading the description, respecting requirements and checking (in-)compatibilities. There are also things like SKSE installation, LOOT and other tools that you should know about.

 

The thing is, I'd say many mods on LoversLab are some of the most complex ones to install, as many of them rely on several requirements as well as the usage of different third-party tools like BodySlide. Others need to be converted to SE by yourself, as they still would work but are designed for the old Skyrim LE.

 

Additionally, there was a big upgrade of Skyrim not too long ago, whereas now many people say it's Skyrim AE and not SE anymore. You now have to check the compatibility for your installed game version or you first have to downgrade your installed version to SE again in order of certain mods to work again (eg Devious Devices)
