some CC not appearing in CAS anymore

Hi guys,

 

I have a lot off CC (sorted in many folders ) but from time to time, some of the stuff keeps disapperaing in CAS and I don't know why.

I know, that the stuff was working before, because I used it. And it even appears on saved sim, but I can not use it on newly created sims, because it does not pop up in CAS...

I tried to fix/update CC CAS parts with Sims 4 Studio, but still, not re-appearing in CAS

is there a way to fix this?

When in CAS, have you tried turning on custom content in the clothing options?

yes... doesn't change a thing.

 

If I have let's say a top on a saved sim, it will show on the sim in CAS and in game, no problem. so the game still "reads" the package-file, otherwise it would show an error or something.
It's just, that this top is not selectable in the CAS colums anymore ?‍♂️

 

and of course I deleted localthumbcache etc
sometimes I can make it work, if I remove the package-file from the mods folder, delete localthumbcache, start the game, let everything load in, exit game, put the file back into mods folder and again remove localthumbcache and restart the game - but that does not work on every file

I have never removed the localthumbcache file. The mod might just be due for an update maybe, because it's dated by the your game version.
Out of curiosity, what mod would that be? Is it by any chance related to other packages?

One more thing. When starting the game, did you select custom content?

you should always delete the localthumbcache.package file after adding or removing mods/CC, because it forces the game to reload the mods/cc - otherwise it might be, that you update a package file, but the game does not and might cause errors

 

for now, what I know it is just one file, that is not working for me, a tie (category necklass) - it's a complete standalone file, no relations to other packages

 

and yes of course, I activated CC / script mods for the game  otherwise the rest of my 5GB of CC/mods would not work at all

I just asked because it already happened in another support topic that custom CCs were not activated.

I find it a bit strange, however, that a mod sometimes works and sometimes not, maybe it is no longer compatible with your version of the game

(localthumbcache.package removed, I never thought of that  ✌️?)
