Cannot save / load presets with Racemenu

Hi guys !

 

I recently decided to give Skyrim a go again with the AE edition, I downloaded a bunch of mods, started playing and everything was fine. But I was not really satisfied with my character and I found a nice preset for me. Downloaded every mod needed for it to look the same, and launched a new game. When loading presets in racemenu, nothing shows up in the list.

 

So I tried :

 

- saving my current preset. The message that it is saved shows up : nothing appears in the folder (D:\Programmes\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\Data\SKSE\Plugins\CharGen\Presets).

- verified that the preset I chose was actually in the correct folder. It is (.dds .nif in the CharGen, .jslot in the Presets).

- tried to run SKSE in admin.

- Tried to run SKSE & Skyrim in admin.

 

Nothing seems to work. The folder path I put above is actually the path showing up in game for the presets.

 

I don't have any more ideas for it to work, so if you do...

racemenu is partially working in AE  not all the options are showing and presets are not saved . ( can not tell you why though ) .

i think you might wait a little more to set a solid base of mods or revert back to pre-AE patch to have a fully modded game .

Thats one reason why many mods not works on AE, also the racemenu mod. They have all to updating theyr mods. Maybe you try the unofficial downgrade patcher.

I was having the same problem.  The simple solution is check pluggins to see if they are all enabled.  When mass loading mods some pluggins are not enabled.  Check the Pluggin tab in Vortex to see if any plugins are not enabled.   Sometimes the game will simply disable plugins, always check that if mods are not working.
