agent86 Posted June 7, 2013 Posted June 7, 2013 Skyrim.esm, Update.esm, and Dawnguard.esm are all fine but I cant access Hearthfire and Dragonborn without the CK crashing. I know this is a common problem and im certain there is a solution because mods are being released for these DLCs so what is the solution? I cannot seem to find it on my own thus far, please help.
ToJKa Posted June 7, 2013 Posted June 7, 2013 You need to add the DLCs BSA files into the SkyrimEditor.ini, in Skyrim install folder. I think it was "SResourceArchiveList2" line. Add Dragonborn.bsa and Hearthfires.bsa after the other BSAs, and the CK should load with them active.
agent86 Posted June 8, 2013 Author Posted June 8, 2013 I was afraid you would say that, I already added those BSA files to the SkyrimEditor.ini file, which did enable me to access Dawnguard, but not the other 2. this is what mine looks like in the SkyrimEditor.ini file bUseArchives=1SResourceArchiveList=Skyrim - Textures.bsa, Skyrim - Meshes.bsa, Skyrim - Animations.bsa, Skyrim - Voices.bsa, Skyrim - Interface.bsa, Skyrim - Misc.bsa, Skyrim - Sounds.bsa, Skyrim - VoicesExtra.bsa, Update.bsa, Dawnguard.bsa, Dragonborn.bsaSResourceArchiveList2=Skyrim - Shaders.bsa, Update.bsa, Dawnguard.bsa, Hearthfire.bsa, Dragonborn.bsa that was just a copy paste. the only difference I can see is that the first Archive List there adds those BSA files as well as the second list, which I didn't add, could that be the issue? before I fiddle with this I want to get your opinions just to be on the safe side (editing these ini files makes me nervous, I keep thinking if I change 1 letter anywhere I might just end up deleting Windhelm or something).
agent86 Posted June 8, 2013 Author Posted June 8, 2013 I don't think ill ever understand how that worked but it did, I now have access to Hearthfire and Dragonborn. that worked perfectly, thanks a ton.
