Guns Of Icarus Online

This is my new favourite game. Basically there you are part of a four man crew of a steampunk airship. One pilot and the other three may be gunners or Engineers, however, each class can do every role. You must coordinate with your crew and your team to send the enemy down to see Old Hob

I've never heard of Air Buccaneers, I'll check it out when I get a chance. For the time being, I'm still playing this

Yes, it's a very fun game indeed! I only wish matches could include more than 2 ships vs 2 ships, to simulate more of a "fleet battle" instead of a small skirmish, but still. I really enjoy the feeling of being on a flying, moving, ship, in the air. The game design is also good. Let's hope Adventure mode is as good as it sounds!

My problem with Guns of Icarus Online is that if I'm a pilot, I don't really feel like I'm able to do much to increase the chances of winning beyond not crashing; as a gunner I can't do much other than hit whatever targets I see; and as an engineer I feel like I lost a rock-paper-scissors match with the gunner and pilot.

I know it's a team effort but it really doesn't seem like what you do as an individual matters. On top of that, it got really old in only a few hours.

Perhaps so, there are definitely ways as pilot to help out. Turn the ship so the enemy can't hit you to make it easy on your engineers. Turn so your gunners have a clean shot. Learn which tools and ammo and equipment to bring so multiclassing is a possibility. As gunner. You can call where the ships are, (hence the level 2 name "lookout"), as engineer, let the pilot know when he needs to bail out or if they can keep fighting. Theres tons of stuff to do and maybe thats just not your taste. But I'm saddened that you didn't like it
