Unable to gain functionality in-game

Excuse the photo from the camera, print screen isn't working in-game. I ran into this issue where I can't click or clicking it does nothing to install SexLab from the MCM. I have the Special Edition and it has been updated to the latest 1.6.318 patch. Let me know if more information is required, I'm confused as to what wall I'm running into here thanks

Hate to break it to you but that is exactly the problem.

You got the AE patch, you need to downgrade your version of skyrim to the former version. How to do it you can find in various threads in the board, or just try this here https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/57618

And follow it's insctructions. Further more you will want to disable auto updates of your game in steam and also disable downloads while a game is launching.
