[WIP] Kerran Sha'rr - a new custom race - by Trykz

I created this race once before.....


and Bethesda broke it  :s


 


So this time I took some precautions.....


and built it entirely under TCRA.


 


And here's where I'm at currently:

Some of you may remember this race having a few "unique" qualities.....


 


This time, they'll be even better.


 


They have the typical (but modified) Khajiit abilities.


Like night vision, which can be toggled on and off, and has no time limit.


And if you prefer playing in a realistic atmosphere as much as


I do, you'll use it more often than not:


 


Without Vision of the Cat active:

They also have a Call of the Wild lesser power that can be used to command


every animal within it's range for 5 minutes, should you need assistance


in battle, or to simply calm a pack of wolves, or a bear looking to make


you their lunch  ;)


 


While they're certainly quite capable with compact blades, their real


strength lies within their bare fists.....

Kerran Sha'rr can access a special ring slot armor, which vastly


enhances their unarmed combat capabilities, adding 5%


damage to their unarmed strikes, as well as some additional


armor rating. These special claws can later be upgraded


to add an additional 5% unarmed damage, and higher armor rating:

Note that the upgraded version requires that you create


and sacrifice your first set of claws in their construction.


 


To further enhance their high level unarmed capabilities,


Kerran can construct a special collar imbued with the


same enchantment as their upgraded claws:

I have a few things left to do, but the females of this race are for the most part finished. However, I REALLY need to find some


*humanized* male textures for the male head and body. Otherwise I'll need to use the Khajiit crap Bethesda made  :(


 


So if there's a texture guru among you who would like to help out and


make their mark on this race, I would greatly appreciate it  :D

Looks quite nice... which Body Type is it??

 

And how do you get this amazing face look???

 

The body is UNPB.

 

And the face is actually the only included preset  ;)

 

The head and body textures don't quite match as nicely as I would like at the neck seam, but the collar hides it quite nicely. The hand texture matches pretty well color-wise, but the fur grain is pretty far off. I'm going to try a few different texture sets which will override these (which are in TCRA). If I'm more satisfied with alternative textures, I'll add them into the mod. Anyone preferring these could simply delete the body textures from the mod.

Looks good, I don't envy you the task of the males... that's going to be a bit of a struggle.

 

 

Actually, it wasn't as bad as I had expected...... I'm pretty well satisfied with the results.

Males are done for the most part. I have some blending


work to do on the textures for both males and females, and


this should be ready to go by later tonight  ;)

I *should* be able to hide the seams in GIMP, but they may still be


a bit noticeable in game. We'll see.....


 


The only other issue I'm currently having, is the male genitals. They appear black


because the textures were made for the FS flaccid mesh. I'm hoping to correct this by


pasting in the genitals from the erect textures. Again, we'll see.....


 


Other than that, I'm pretty pleased with how the males turned out thus far.

Well, messing with textures yielded a bit of improvement in the male


neck area. However, the genitals will sadly have to remain as they are.


At least for now..... with any luck, one of our resident texture gurus


will take an interest, and perhaps provide a replacer set.

On the females armor? On this one and the one on the release page, I notice that it looks like you have the huntress armor and forsworn? retexed in a leapord pattern? Where'd you find that? I assume the forsworn is a variant of Troublemaker's.

My name is Jack,

a while back i worked on a Race mod very similiar to this one with the goal of crossing a human race with khajit, which had been done but the goal that made mine special was that the ears would not be static as will all the others avilible.
