sophiextime Posted November 11, 2021 Posted November 11, 2021 Hi. Yesterday i installed Skyrim SE and MO2 and lots of mods. I also did a backup of it all via steam as i know to expect this new Anniversary update that i dont want. However i stupidly forgot to set my update options to ' only update when game launched'. So this morning i turn on steam and open Mo2 to fiddle with mods. i then realise Steam is starting to update Skyrim SE. PANIC!!! So i instantly paused it, went into options and set it to only update on game launch ( as i always launch from SKSE) However Steam did partially update Skyrim but it was just 165.8MB of the 3.3Gb update. Am i safe to still use my modded SKSE playthrough? Will that small amount of update effect it? I am gonna guess nothing has changed as the updaye got stopped and never completed. Can anyone assure me i am ok please?
Guest Posted November 11, 2021 Posted November 11, 2021 Depends on what files were updated. Find all files where Skyrim is installed and sort them by date. You will see which ones are updated. It is a matter of luck. If the exec or dlls were updated then there is not much you can do. If some bsa were updated then maybe it may work (big maybe.)
fraser123 Posted November 11, 2021 Posted November 11, 2021 yea i had it set up to update on launch, ran through vortex and it still updated it... now my modded skyrim is fucked... ugh.
