[REQUEST] Modify Soul Gem Oven 4 Beta 6 for VR

As it stands, we have all of the prerequisites of SGO4 now ported/working in VR:

 

• SKSE has a VR build
• SkyUI VR exists
• FNIS SE 7.4.5+ works for both SSE and VR
• RaceMenu has a VR version
• BodySlide works for both SSE and VR, no change in version
• SexLab Framework SE 1.63 Beta 8 has a VR patch
• UI Extensions works, according to Expired's patreon page and using his early access build of sksevr 2.0.12: https://www.patreon.com/posts/more-vr-fixes-38894437 although it doesn't have a "VR version" per se. I've had some success using it with Sexlab Survival in VR to access the "all-in-one" menu.

 

One of the last holdouts of my NSFWrim setup is SGO, and I'd appreciate any help to patch it for VR. I know little to nothing about modding, so apologies if this is a naïve request, but I'm hoping it's as simple as changing some version check values - I just don't know how to use PEXeditor or any of the other staple skyrim tools to do it myself.

You legend! I'll give it a go tomorrow evening and see what features work and what's still broken. I've since gotten on SGO creator's discord, so I might pick their brain if something else isn't working properly in game. Thanks again!

OUTDATED scroll down for better steps

 

If you got here from google and had literally no modding experience like I did, this is what you need to do for the bare minimum:

-Mod Organizer 2 is VERY highly recommended since I could NOT get it working on Vortex, here is how to use it

-SKSE for VR is required but you might have already had that but if you never used MO2 like me here is a guide (its for normal SE but the steps for VR are exactly the same)

-SKYUI for VR is required and NOT to be confused with the normal SSE version on the nexus and can be installed without issue

-FNIS for VR XXL is next and make sure to only install the VR version only and here is how to do it

-SexLab SE is as easy as SKYUI and can be installed without a problem

Now that all the base prerequisites are out of the way it's actually quite easy from here as you can associate Nexus Manager links to download to MO2 in the settings

-RaceMenu both the Anniversary version and VR version

-UIExtensions

-iWant Widgets widget functionality is broken in VR

-Address Library for SKSE Plugins

-PapyrusUtil VR just the VR version

-A body mod of your choice. I used CBBE

-BodySlide and Outfit Studio I have no idea if its required as this edits the visual pregnancy morphs, but it won't hurt

-SoulGemOven but unzip it and in the scripts folder replace the 3 files with:

dse_sgo_QuestUtil_Main.pexdse_sgo_QuestController_Main.pexdse_sgo_ContainInsertGem.pex

And rezip and install

(I don't know if it's required but if you want to see what was changed)

dse_sgo_ContainInsertGem.pscdse_sgo_QuestController_Main.pscdse_sgo_QuestUtil_Main.psc

 

And that's It! but if you have a Quest 2 like me or otherwise can't select NPCs with the SGO Menu shout, you're gonna need:

-Powerofthree's Tweaks VR which requires the original Powerofthree's Tweaks with the optional ini and Visual C++ Redistributables.

 

And that's really it! be free! have fun! Don't contact me! I barely know what I'm doing! It only took me 2 weeks to figure this all out!

Does anyone get animation not playing issue while birthing/milking/wanking with Nemesis + FNIX XXL? The character was not fully stuck (like a fnis error) just no events seemed happening while character can't move

I am trying to make this patch work for SGO4 Integration Fork 1.7.5.1 using vrik actions, i can get the animations to run but after that the player controlls are not released and i am unable to move, any pointers to how that can/should be fixed?

With a new year comes a new update: SGO Beta 8. As I am about to start my annual Skyrim playthrough, I referred back to this post to ease my modding process and I thought I might update this post to help me in the future again and other Darkconsole connoisseurs.

 

What works:

-NPC visuals

-NPC Pregnancy

-NPC animations

-Soul gem growth and other functions (even for player)

-Transfer functionality

-Menus

-Scanner

-Display model 3 compatibility for NPC (Currently only works for Beta6 download DM3_VR_scripts.zip and replace the .pex files)

Untested:

-Insemination

-Cum collection from player/NPC

-Milk collection from player

 

What doesn't:

-All animations involving player (it could potentially work if you look for ways to make it work, but I have not checked)

-Milk Items from NPC (for some reason it just does not drop. I know it has something to do with race but animation will play and no item will drop)

 

-I recommend starting with a base mod pack from Wabbajack. I used if for the first time and I will never go back to the tedium of manually adding base mods and optimizations for VR. I will continue as if you are doing It manually from scratch, for those adding to an existing mod list. The following is organized in my working load order, as it does matter. (test and change order at your own discretion)

 

-Mod Organizer 2 is still VERY STRONGLY recommended, It will change your Skyrim modding life. Here is a guide.

-SKSE VR is required (SKSE_SE is not required). Here is a guide (the video is for normal SKSE SE but the steps for SKSE VR are exactly the same) [Tested: VR build v2.0.12]

-SkyUI VR is required (SkyUI_SE is not required). No steps, just install like a normal mod. [Tested: SkyUI-VR v1.2.1]

-FNIS Behavior VR XXL is required (FNIS SE/SE_XXL/Creature/Spells not required). and Here is how to do it. Enable it and run. [Tested: FNIS VR XXL v7.6]

-SexLabFrameworkSE_v163_BETA8 + SexLab VR patch Beta8 v38 + SL VR patch hotfix for v38 is required (Post here goes much more in detail than me and does a better job, I recommend doing all that then coming back here). [Tested: SexLab VR Beta8 v38 / SL VR patch hotfix for v38]

-RaceMenu Anniversary version and VR version. [Tested: RaceMenu Anniversary (nonGOG) v0.4.19.14 / RaceMenu VR v0.4.14]

-VR Address Library for SKSEVR requirement untested.

-UIExtensions [Tested: UIExtensions v1.2.0]

-PapyrusUtil VR is required (AE_SE/GOG/SE is not required). [Tested: PapyrusUtil VR v3.6b]

-Powerofthree's Tweaks VR is sort of required (It will run but you can only select yourself with the MCM shout). [Tested: Powerofthree's Tweaks VR v1.8.0]

-A body mod of your choice. I used CBBE. Other body mods untested. [Tested: CBBE v1.8.1]

-BodySlide and Outfit Studio is optional. Required for milkier visuals, but harvestable milk seems to currently be broken. [Tested: BodySlide and Outfit Studio v5.6.0]

-SoulGemOven [Tested: SGO4 Beta8]

 

-Within Soul Gem Oven replace the following files:

dse_sgo_QuestUtil_Main.pexdse_sgo_QuestController_Main.pexdse_sgo_ContainInsertGem.pex

 

And that's it! If it works, great! If it doesn't, I can't really help you, but you can as the amazingly competent creators and community of the mod in darkconsole's discord!

Thanks for the great tip! Did you get the bodysliders work correctly in MCM?

Mine only shows one slider per tab for pregnancy, milk and semen. It's not what I had when playing on SSE.

There is error, Soulgem Oven Error: SkyUI SE 5.2 or newer must be installed and UI extensions 1.2.0+ must be installed, I don't know why, I think I installed appropriate versions.
